Amazing small plates lunch menu. Suggest 2-3 per person. Delicious cocktails. Impeccable service, we were really looked after. Beautiful venue and the views are wonderful.

We came here for a two night stay for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet location at the water’s edge with very comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was one of the best meals we have eaten in a long time - an imaginative menu and freshly prepared with local ingredients- and the staff were without exception friendly and professional.

We had a mid-week stay including dinner, b&b, with a group of 6 friends which proved very good value. The best part was the delicious dinner made from home grown vegetables & herbs or locally sourced produce. The meal had unusual combinations of ingredients which were very tasty and beautifully presented. Our lovely waitress made the meal so much better. She took careful account of a couple of food allergies and made every effort to look after us, always with a smile. She also patiently explained how each of the dishes had been prepared. Entrance to the hotel was very strange as had to climb a dark narrow fire escape but as the receptionist explained this was better than the front entrance which would include extremely steep stairs. Although the inn has no lounge area it was no problem to us as we simply congregated in the bar. We had a room overlooking the river Swale & it was pleasant enough. However we did not find the 4-poster bed mattress to be very comfortable. A case of putting looks before comfort. This was a shame as everything else was perfect.

Celebrated my partners 50th birthday with family at The Ferry House Inn. Amazing food and awesome service. There was 10 in our group, plus a baby, and every single one of the group said it was amazing food, well presented and served by attentive, smiley and very very helpful staff. We have eater here a few times now and it never never disappoints. We are staying at Marsh View part of their accommodation complex at Mocketts Farm and want to also take this opportunity to say it is an amazing location, excellent facilities in the accommodation and very clean and spacious. Recommended highly

I was here for my daughters wedding so stayed overnight in room 4, the only small item I would bring up was that the tea and coffee facilities in that room were on a wardrobe that was taller than me, admittedly I am short, but it meant I wasn't able to have a hot drink for fear of spilling hot water, this was a shame as there was a good choice of drinks. I had breakfast the following morning and they were so accommodating considering that I'm gluten free, even offering to make something different for me.

This was our first time here but it won’t be our last. The setting is beautiful and the restaurant is spacious and clean. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was delicious and plentiful and there was a good choice on offer. As we stayed in one of the rooms overnight, we also had breakfast here and it was delicious. Instead of traditional tomatoey, sugary baked beans, breakfast came with a very moreish serving of fava beans with a less sweet, more savoury type of sauce. The food is homegrown and / or local so it was as fresh as fresh could be. Definitely looking forward to going back there soon.

When someone says to you ' if you want to go to somewhere in the middle of nowhere' this is certainly the place! As we drove down Harty Ferry Road, you do think, where on earth are we going, there isn't anything around, apart from wild horses and the most amazing wildlife, then out of nowhere you see the Ferry House. When we arrived at reception, we were made to feel so welcome. Our room was wonderful, we stayed in the new section of the Ferry House which I will say is lovely and bright, specious and contemporary, we did take our dog for the overnight stay too, they do provide bed/bowls etc. Before dinner we both had a very relaxing full body massage, I highly recommend a treatment, the beauty rooms are delightful. The restaurant is very welcoming with a roaring, I would definitely have a couple of cocktails before dinner. Dinner was delicious, wine was great, the staff can't do anymore for you, so friendly. Definitely a place I would recommend. Thank you to all at The Ferry House.

Here for my daughter's wedding so overnight stay as part of the package. I cannot fault the whole experience from checking in to the impeccable wedding organisation ( thank you Maxine and team) to the total courtesy and customer focused service throughout our stay. Room was excellent, clean and comfortable (Riverside King) and nice little touches like carrot cake and fresh milk in the room . Breakfast was outstanding and generous with quality sausages and bacon. We will definitely be back . Julie and Steve x
