Thankyou ben**ore cottage. We arrived at the cottage by open arms of the owners who showed us around their beautiful property before showing us the place we were staying for 2 nights. There was a beautiful fireplace with ample wood and when we ran out the owners were quick to give us more for another night. We were provided tawny and home grown bacon and eggs which was a beautiful treat and extremely tasty. We were there for our honeymoon which was a wonderful experience and it was like home away from home. If you’re looking for a gorgeous stay away from the city, close to beautiful winery’s and outstanding walks in Tasmania’s national forests in a 1800’s style home this is it. You will never forget your stay and you’ll be well cared for by the magnificent hosts. We are deeply touched by your kind gestures of tawny and also providing breakfast. We will never forget both of your kind hearts and will definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Belmont from Dec 19-21, as a base for us to explore the Coles Bay area and Freycinet National Park. The property came with 2 rooms, and big enough for a family of 4. Location was quiet and easily accessible to restaurants and also near to EV charging since we rented a Tesla. Cosy and clean, and our host John was warm, welcoming and very hospitable.

The accomodation was 'Ben**ore' within the advertised property and is a small separate cabin. The property pictures are not only out of date but show the whole property and it is unclear what you are actually booking. The room itself was small, which in itself was unexpected, and the space was made even smaller by odds and ends on every available surface. The bedside table which might have been usable was covered in various decorative items and the mantle piece over the fire the same, so there was no place to put any of our personal items. The bed was only a double and wedged up underneath by a block of wood, which made it very rigid and so wasn't particularly comfortable either. The room had a wood burning stove which the owner did supply wood, but I had to clean out several inches of ash before it could be used, and the fire filled the room with smoke, so we had to leave the front door open while it was lit. For some reason, the bed pillows were encased in multiple waterproof inner cases inside the actual outer pillow case, and made the pillows crunchy and uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom shower worked well and the towels were usable, but the shower door didnt close well and created a river of water that covered the floor and flowed out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. We then felt we had to use the towels to mop it up, but fortunately the weather was warm so we could dry the towels on the balcony fence. Overall, below the standard expected

Amazing quirky accommodation. We chose the Gypsy Rose. Very comfortable and pleasantly located beside the Wye River. We only met Maureen on arrival, who was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Breakfast is not included, so we self-catered for breakfast and dinner. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and crockery and cutlery. There is also a camp kitchen next door for those that need to cook bigger meals.

This is a treasure trove of accommodation that will amaze you, the best and most special building of all my travels. It has a history of 130 years and has a garden of 13,000m2. The rooms are large and well-equipped. Surrounded by century-old trees and various flowers and plants for you to enjoy, we experienced the life of a farmer for the first time here.If you have time, the owner will show you how to feed her merino sheep and hens, as well as her yard. The host was very welcoming and we tasted eggs from his own hens for the first time.

We had the most special stay here. The children loved the whole experience of walking goats, holding rabbits and picking fresh apples and mulberries off the trees, it will be forever remembered. I highly recommend this beautiful place. The owners John and Maureen are the most perfect hosts. We had a lovely evening chatting with them on their verandah over a bottle of wine. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the experience with our family.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Only a 10 minute drive to Swansea and Kates Berry Farm which is a must. Our accommodation was in the Belmont Wing which is fully self contained and has plenty of room for a family. We were greeted by Maureen upon arrival who showed us around the room and took Master 5 down to the chickens to collect some eggs whilst we unpacked the car. The gardens on the property are beautiful and it is starting to bloom now that it is Spring. The history of the Belmont is also very interesting.

Delightful stay here at the lovely historic Belmont Homestead. Great hospitality - John and Maureen were so welcoming and gave us a tour of their property which they are so proud of. Right on the Wye River, the gardens feature a Monet style bridge with goldfish in the pond. There are also a variety of fruit trees, a rabbit, chickens and goats. Located with easy access to several lovely wineries, nearby Coles Bay, Freycinet Peninsula and Wineglass Bay. We had a comfortable stay in the apar**ent wing - clean and spacious. Looking forward to our return visit.
