I arrived late and although the hotel stated they had valet parking, we were left to find our own parking. We were not encouraged to park in the hotels parking area due to homelessness surrounding the area. We were tired after a very long drive and the search for parking added to a stressful day. The hotel posted that masks were required and yet when we walked in almost none of the guests were wearing masks. Our suite was nice but there were no indications that it was COVID clean, other Marriott hotels we have stayed at since Covid have made you feel safe. When I checked out the next Fay, the woman at the front never even bothered to ask me about my stay or say something that would make me want to return. That is why I give them a 3. I’m in Syracuse often but I would rather stay somewhere else that might be a tad less lavished but better customer service.

The Marriott is a restored historic hotel in downtown Syracuse. The rooms are nice but a little small. Initially there was no refrigerator in our room, but after I asked for one, it was provided. I was told all rooms should have one. There is also a coffee maker. There is free WiFi, a card key is used and toilitries are provided. There is valet parking at $27/day or you can park in a private lot across the street for $20 day. There is a nice gym on the 11th floor with great views of the city. The hotel is conventiently located and is within walking distance of major sites and is across the street fromt the Salt City Market, where which is a food court and there is a supermarket there too.

Our stay was very nice - the only issue was that I ordered breakfast to the room and it took longer than expected and almost delayed our check out. However, the woman taking care of us at the front desk was so amazing and understanding and did everything she good to make sure we could take our breakfast to go with us in the road. She was so lovely and we appreciated the service.
