食事も施設もスタッフ対応も素晴らしかったです。また来たいと思いました。

The food was bad, the service was like that of an izakaya, and there was an open-air bath with a full view. Honestly, I couldn't find anything good about it. I won't go there again and I won't recommend it to anyone.

To fulfill my daughter's desire to go to the beach during summer vacation, we stayed at Hotel Koyanagi, which is within an hour of the beach and has an open-air bath in the room. As if to tickle children's spirits, beetles, parakeets, and rabbits were kept next to the hotel entrance, and the children were excited. The room was also spacious and clean. The open-air bath was comfortable with lukewarm water, and it was amazing to be able to see the night view of Niigata city and the countryside while soaking in the bath ^_^ Furthermore, when I turned off the lights, a star-filled sky spread out, relaxing my mind and body. I was healed. I usually sleep on a bed, so I don't like futons, but the mattresses at this hotel were so thick that I was able to sleep soundly, as if I was sleeping on a mattress. What was disappointing was the food. Dinner was in a private room, but the Niigata Koshihikari that I was looking forward to was arranged into takikomi gohan or chirashi sushi, so I couldn't enjoy the deliciousness of freshly cooked white rice. The main side dishes also didn't feel special, especially the sashimi, which was on the same level as the sashimi platter you buy at the supermarket. Breakfast was buffet style in a large venue, but the content was at the level of a business hotel. The quality of the food was disappointing since the other services were good. I think it was a great memory for the children as they experienced making bread and cookies, as well as making fireworks and soap bubbles in the parking lot.

This is the largest inn (hotel) in Yutagami Onsen. I think it was because it was the busy season that there were a lot of young female employees working part-time. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was no guidance to the room, so this might be a good thing. However, I felt that the customer service during meals was not well-trained. The bath is on the top floor and has a nice view. However, both the indoor bath and the open-air bath are small, and the sauna has a limit of three people (although some customers did not comply), so when groups and families come in, there is no place to stay. Also, the sauna was open until 9pm, the open air until 10pm, and the bathing time until 10pm. Although it was a dining place, the place we were given a "private room" was a karaoke room that was unavailable due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the breakfast venue, the windows were open to prevent the spread of coronavirus, but the outside temperature was below freezing and the heating was extremely ineffective, so we had no choice but to finish early. Well, the good thing is that there were 5 people staying there, and there were 5 different colors of towels and cups, so I couldn't make any mistakes.
