We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La The Fort Manila. The location is excellent—right in the heart of everything, with so many places just a short walk away. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, and the service truly lived up to the Shangri-La standard.
Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but it’s absolutely worth it for the convenience, comfort, and overall experience. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

I've been to Manila for business many times, and I always choose this hotel. It's clean, the breakfast is plentiful, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are great too. I'll definitely choose it again next time.

Pros
- Great easy check in experience. Best I’ve had
- The small bathroom in the room with just the sink and toilet is so nicely done (see photo.
- Bathroom has a bath
- The gym is the best I’ve seen in the Philippines (see pictures)
- Jacuzzi and warm bath in the gym is awesome (see pictures)
Cons
- minibar is woeful (see pictures)… one snickers bar, one bag of M&M’s when I paid for a room for three people.
- TV’s are too small in both bedroom and living room.
- There are two small lights under the bedside cabinet each side of the bed that are literally impossible to switch off at night..
- The Davidoff shop has a smoking lounge which is more of a cheap cafe than a lounge (see photo). The alternative smoking area in the hotel has no seats and not really very pleasant either.
- The road noise from outside late at night and early in the morning is completely unacceptable.
We booked the best room available and the notice late at night ruined our stay so much we checked out a day early instead of accepting a DOWNGRADE as all of the Premier Suites overlook main roads and crossroads! Not exactly ‘luxury’.

The hotel is located in Manila's BGC business district, within walking distance to several shopping malls, making dining and shopping very convenient. The surrounding area is safe, and transportation is easily accessible. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and tidy. The staff are warm, polite, and provide thoughtful and attentive service. However, rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy, with piercing motorcycle sounds at night, so the soundproofing could be improved.

What a luxurious five-star hotel! On a side note, security checks are ubiquitous in Manila. High-end hotels, shopping malls, and other similar venues all have security, even more so than what you'd typically find back home.
