We booked this as it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight. We had a lovely meal just down the road that we could easily walk to. The motel itself is clean and the staff were friendly however it was noisey from the tracks going past, it was very hot and there is no way to cool the room down apart from to open windows however not ideal because of the noise. The internet was shocking and there were only very basic things in the room, such as no shower cap, I thought this was a basic that you get anywhere. The shower had a great rain head but the water goes everywhere.

13th March 2024 Dated, tired and Needs a make over - over priced, dreadful road noise . Asked for quiet room sadly due to single glazing and motel location on a busy road this was BAD. Rooms very basic decor, firm beds where you could feel the join badly (2 singles together) booked a king. It would be hard to escape the noise from road single glazing does no favours.Ear plugs should provided in rooms sadly didnt have any on hand -what a shame worst sleep as a result and woken early when traffic and trucks started first thing. The motel ideally should say somehting about noise ...I am sure reading reviews we are not the only ones to have this complaint. Outdoor areas needed a freshen up, leaves swept .Bathrooms you could see black mould etc..needs a good srub and bleach Clean. This is not good enough. Dated fixtures/old corroded mirror .Paid more around 241 corp rate for a spa room (what a joke worst spa) noisy old and dribbled out spa jets. Toaster wasnt clean and overall due to be being dated and sp**** it didnt feel fresh. Lamp shades askew ....drapes x 3 singles, not joined.. All of the above does not hurt as much if you pay for what you get, or your informed. at $240/night deluxe studio you would and should expect more. On the postive side the managers were delightful and friendly and was made to feel very welcome shown to the room ..the office hours were 8 am however they were not open when I left the key. I did email my concerns and felt I had been over charged noise/old spa/cleanliness etc...The managers sent my email to overseas owners after my second email 16th March -no surprise not one word from the owners. Dreadful shame on you. Will never stay there again and would not as a globally travelled perosn 30+ years of travel reccomend this place -especially at the overinflated prices they charge.

Our accomodation was extremely clean , new and comfortable for our stay and we really enjoyed it . The road noise was an issue for us and would be so good if it could be rectified somehow and higher occupancy 😊.

In short, give it a miss. The photos of this place totally misrepresent the property. It is an extremely tired, old-style motel right on a busy and noisy main road with single glazing. Think 1980s style NZ motels you would pay 100 bucks a night for. Which brings me to my next negative on this place, we were charged $752 for two nights. For that we were expecting a level of accommodation implied by the photos. As it stands, even 1980s prices might be too much. It was so bad we didn't even bother staying, and went and booked in elsewhere.

Clean, practical accommodation and reasonably located for the beach area of Nelson. However, you won’t want to stay long. Motel is tired, in need of a refurb and located alongside a busy main road so very noisy with a constant hum of traffic. We liked the idea of a balcony but it looked out onto an internal courtyard with no view as very large tree protruding. Ran out of hot water on the morning before checking out.

The owner was very friendly. The rooms are extremely clean. The only one small problem was the internet connection wasnt the best but overall would definitely stay again.
