This hotel is perfect for a family staycation with kids.
The staff are generally young and incredibly enthusiastic. They're very observant; a quick glance in their direction and they'll eagerly ask if you need any help.
There are shuttle buses throughout the resort. Even though everything is within walking distance, the shuttle makes it super convenient for kids.
The resort has a two-story kids' castle, which is absolutely fantastic for children! All the toys are Hape, and kids are like mice in a rice barrel – once they're in, they don't want to leave. The second floor has DIY and board game areas. During the Spring Festival, there were activities like dumpling making, paper-cutting, fruit platters, and scratch art, so kids could spend half a day there.
Next to the castle is the wellness center, great for adults to do yoga or swim. The pool area also has a kids' pool and a hot spring pool, which the little ones thoroughly enjoyed.
There are also small animals and horseback riding, keeping the children's day perfectly planned out.
Finally, and most delightfully, the suite we booked had a mahjong table! After the kids' nap, it was adult fun time! There are also KTV, ball games, and other activities, catering to both adults and children.

GGuest UserThe Yitel in Taicang is a fantastic hotel. From the great front desk staff allowing us a bit of an early check in, to the wonderful breakfast, great room with a lovely big bathtub, to the very warm and friendly housekeeping and restaurant staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yitel. We have been staying at many hotels over the last few months in China, and this hotel is a standout. The location in central Taicang is great, with a shopping mall and Walmart right across the street, and many other shops, restaurants, banks, and more within easy walking distance. Our large Queen room was great - very large, incredibly comfortable and well appointed - and, again, the great big bathtub was a special treat. There is a great in house laundry - most importantly, the best dryer we have used at a ny of the hotels we have stayed in. Great hotel and would highly recommend.

Upon learning I was an Accor Platinum member and confirming my Trip.com Accor direct booking, he proactively upgraded me to an executive room and even included complimentary executive lounge access for two. What a pleasant surprise!
The room offered a true lake view, with the clear blue sky reflecting on the water – truly refreshing.
The room service was also very thoughtful. When I needed items like drinking water and a razor, the staff responded quickly and delivered them to my room promptly. Their service was dedicated and thorough. Overall, a perfect stay!

FFentataFor the first time in the forest tree house. I didn't expect too much, but I gave a lot of expectations: the room was very clean, warm, two big beds, the bedding was very comfortable, the pillows were soft and hard, and both were comfortable. Toiletries can also feel carefully selected. The room has the smell of wood. I brought the kitten and looked excitedly at the scenery outside the window. There is also a carefully matched nutritious breakfast in the morning. The main thing is to breathe oxygen to restore the vitality. It is really healing and will often come to unload the class.

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

GGuest UserIt is most convenient to stay at this 7-Day Hotel when you come to the People's Hospital for business. You can cross a road to get there. The hotel is cheap and clean, just like a fast hotel. The hotel has a laundry room, which is suitable for people on long-term business trips. There are restaurants and fruit shops to the north of the hotel, so it is very convenient for eating and shopping. There is an Internet cafe and billiard room downstairs in the hotel, so you can play billiards when you have nothing to do at night. It's a great experience!

Sscy999Initially, after booking, I was a bit concerned seeing the mixed reviews on Ctrip, but after checking in, I actually found it to be pretty good.
First of all, the day before arrival, customer service reached out to ask for our license plate number. They also added us on WeChat to send over the address, important instructions, and the necessary pass for Seventy-Two Villages. We arrived in the afternoon, and our room was still being prepared. While we waited, they kindly offered us complimentary soft drinks.
We stayed in a LOFT room, which was perfect for our group of three adults and one child, with the addition of a tatami mat. The room offered a pleasant view of the fields.
The room key was an old-fashioned type; you had to manually lock the door after closing it, otherwise, it could be opened from the outside. You also needed to lock it from the outside when leaving the room. This system felt a bit dated and could definitely be improved.
On the LOFT level, the common area in the lobby featured an automatic mahjong table, which is great for larger groups.
The central air conditioning in the room was quite loud, which I found difficult to get used to, and I barely slept the first night. By the second day, I had adjusted to the noise, but the AC was too cold. Even after adjusting the temperature upwards and changing the fan speed, it didn't make much of a difference.
Upon check-out, they also gave us complimentary bottled water and a frog toy for the child, which was a very thoughtful gesture.
The butler/concierge service is available until 9 PM, so if you need anything, it's best to contact customer service via WeChat earlier in the day.

YYuriyouHonestly, the hotel service felt poorly trained, especially compared to other five-star hotels. The difference was significant. In the breakfast restaurant, at 9:30 AM, we were told quite bluntly that breakfast was almost over, which was uncomfortable. We rushed through our meal, and when they closed up at 10 AM, there was no warm reminder like you'd get at other five-star hotels, suggesting we could grab more food if we wanted. This process was completely missing, yet other five-star hotels always do this. It really felt like the service training was inadequate! The customer experience was poor, and I won't be booking again! Also, the room had a musty smell, as if no one had stayed there in ages! My husband developed a lot of rashes on his face overnight. The next day, at checkout, they only seemed interested in getting a good review and asked how our stay was. I said 'average,' and then they just went silent. It felt like they only wanted positive feedback and had no interest in asking why it was just 'average' or what we were unhappy with, showing no desire for improvement. I won't stay here again. And the underground parking was a mess.
