LIHO Hotel Tainan

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel! First off, there are at least two entertainment centers, massage parlors, and KTVs nearby. There's even a nightclub in the same building. Plus, the doors only have key locks, which made me really worried about my safety. Secondly, the room was incredibly cramped and had no windows, so ventilation was terrible. The soundproofing was the worst I've ever experienced; I could hear people showering at night, not to mention other noises. The front desk staff also wasn't very friendly to guests. I really don't recommend staying here; you can find much better business hotels in Tainan for the same price.

Needs improvement: The room was dirty. The canopy had holes, the window couldn't be opened, and the drain was clogged. The bedsheets were filthy, and I had to wait until the next day to get them changed. The mattress was uncomfortable, the walls were dusty, and the facilities were old. *Pros: Great value for money, perfect for those on a tight budget with low expectations. Convenient location with many restaurants, breakfast spots, and convenience stores nearby, all at reasonable prices. It's also not far from Tainan Station. Free laundry service, but you have to pay for detergent (or bring your own).

Ambiance and facilities are terrible, terrible, terrible! The room without a window felt a bit damp, requiring the air conditioning to be on 24/7. Soundproofing was nonexistent; I could hear the toilet seat being lifted next door and conversations. Changing rooms wasn't an option. I arrived at the hotel before 3 PM, waiting to check in, and was probably given room 1701 as the first guest. I noticed it had no window. I then saw other queen rooms with windows that hadn't been cleaned yet in the hallway, so I went downstairs to ask the front desk. Their reply was that the only windowed rooms left were quad rooms. I decided to just deal with it. After going back up to take a shower and get some sleep, I pulled back the covers to find some small spots and stains on the sheets and duvet cover. I called the front desk to request a change, but no one came for about 10 minutes. So, I went out and called a staff member who was cleaning rooms, and someone was immediately sent to change them. The male staff member had an excellent attitude and was profusely apologetic. The drama continued on the second night. The second night was a Saturday, so I guessed more people were checking in, and rooms on the floor above were being used. The sound of dripping water hitting the ceiling at night made it impossible to sleep. It was a drip every minute. I'm a late sleeper and thought it would stop by 2-3 AM. At first, I thought my own AC was leaking and even turned it off, but the dripping continued until around 4 AM when I went downstairs to the front desk for earplugs. I was extremely angry and tired at the time and didn't have much interaction with the front desk staff, just mentioning, "Your ceiling is leaking." I only properly reported it to the front desk when checking out.
