Overall the hostel must go with a managed expectation of easy going and simple minded. Then things will be alright. There are a few floors of 101 Hostel in this building and has three floors includes 5, 9 and 12. Mine is one the 12 which is same floor as reception. The reception is simple and easy and attended to by a pair of boyfriend and girlfriend whom are very young in age. They assigned me to room 8, bed 8 . as a solo traveller, it is easy to go with the flow of the assigned bed and room . In there, one square box for bag and enough for a back pack. The common area was alright with four tables to sit and mingle with other guests. Taking hot water and cold water, need to wal to the backyard. As showering, just two setup and need to come back again if it is in use. Breakfast is simple and basic with two choice of drinks and hard bread and soft bread. When checking out, no allowance is given. 11am means 11am and cannot negitoate, or else pay money.

Friendly staff. Very convenient location for getting around by MRT, bus, or on foot. The bathroom was clean with quality TOTO fixtures, showing good taste. The only downside was a noisy guest checking in late, waking me up at 2:30 AM.

I stayed in a four-person female dorm this time, and even for a dorm, it was incredibly comfortable. I also loved the cute touch of the guest notebook.

Staying alone, it was very economical. The AC in my 6-person room was excellent. The only downside was that the toilet in the bathroom wasn't very clean; there was excrement and an odor from a previous guest in the bin, which made me really reluctant to use that bathroom…

I interacted with two receptionists, a man and a woman, and both were bright, kind, and left a great impression. They even allowed me to store my luggage before check-in (though it was just placed in a corner of the lobby, which made me a bit nervous about security, but it's better than nothing and I appreciate it). The mold in the bathroom was really bad; I wish they would high-pressure clean it regularly. I honestly would have cleaned it myself if there were cleaning supplies available.

Breakfast is self-service in the lobby, where you can toast your own bread. There were about 7 or 8 different jams available, and they were all delicious. The security was also very good, which made for a comfortable stay.

This hostel is conveniently located near a bus stop and a U-bike station, right across from Linjiang Night Market. However, it's about 600-800 meters from Taipei 101/World Trade Center, Anhe, and Liuzhangli stations. The front desk is on the 12th floor, while rooms are on the 5th and 9th floors. The complimentary breakfast and 24-hour front desk service are definite pluses. Guests are required to change into indoor slippers upon entering the room, and the well-equipped common area is also a bonus. The bathroom facilities are quite basic, though. Overall, it's a good value-for-money hostel that I'd recommend.
