The Grand Hotel

I love hotels with a rich history 🏨, especially when they've been a filming location! 😊 Even though it's a bit far from the city center, taxis are super convenient. The hotel shuttle also runs frequently to the nearest MRT station 🚊. I stayed in two different room types, and even the windowless room didn't feel cramped; it was clean, fresh, and the AC was strong. When I switched rooms, all I had to do was leave my luggage inside, and the staff took care of everything. Coming back to a new room after a day out exploring was a joy! 🥳 I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Taipei.

This hotel is quite historic; it used to host foreign dignitaries during Chiang Kai-shek's time, and now anyone can stay here for a fee. I stayed in a Qilin Room. The room was genuinely spacious and had been recently renovated. The shower pressure was excellent, making for a refreshing experience. My only minor complaint is that the bathtub was a bit small—anyone over 1.8 meters might not be able to fully soak in it. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan.

This hotel is steeped in history, and guests can even participate in a mysterious tour of the Western Secret Passage. However, as an older hotel, the facilities could use an upgrade. For instance, the mattress is too firm, and because the rooms are carpeted, the air conditioning needs to be set lower, so the duvet could definitely be thicker.

Overall, it was fantastic! The room was very spacious, and the environment was quiet and serene. If you want to go swimming, they can arrange a car for you. There's also a free shuttle bus to Shilin MRT station. I'll definitely choose The Grand Hotel again next time I'm in Taipei!

This hotel is grand and magnificent, with a dragon-themed design throughout. The towering red pillars and Chinese imperial architectural style are truly amazing! The room and balcony were exceptionally spacious. When I booked on Trip.com, I thought I was getting a city view, but upon arrival, I learned it was a mountain view room. The next day, I paid extra to switch to a city view room, which allowed me to experience two different room types. The main difference was, of course, the view. I stayed for three days, and both rooms were incredibly comfortable and spacious. If I visit Taipei again, this will definitely be my top choice for accommodation!

This was the most unforgettable night of my entire trip to Taiwan. After staying in five different hotels, the Grand Hotel definitely ranks number one for me. The service attitude was excellent; the luggage staff helped with my bags as soon as I got out of the car, and then brought them to my room after check-in. Their smiles were warm, and their service was very professional. The front desk service was equally impressive, upgrading my room and adding a small, simple touch – two swans folded from towels on the bed – which was a pleasant surprise. The Grand Hotel truly offers a blend of professionalism and warmth. While the facilities might not be the absolute best, I believe their service and professionalism are on par with world-class luxury hotels. The shuttle service at Yuanshan Station makes transportation quite convenient. From my room, I could see Taipei 101 and planes taking off from Songshan Airport. The soundproofing was excellent; it wasn't noisy at all. Five stars don't even begin to express my praise for this hotel. If I have another chance to visit Taipei, the Grand Hotel will still be my top choice.

The rooms are clean and tidy. I highly recommend coming to experience it. The hotel lobby is decorated very grand and luxurious. You can also book a secret passage tour at the hotel, and the staff will even share the hotel's history and the decorations in the lobby.
