Love Ryokan ShinSen very very much, we are very very enjoyable! All staff are very friendly and helpful. Amazing Chef Cooking on dinner and breakfast. Very full each meals. Nice room with Spa. This price all worth it. I would recommend to friends if they go Fukuoka

Excellent service. Staff stand on the roadside to welcome us when our 2 cars arrived. Dinner is tasty. There is a small private onshen in our room but unfortunately no public onshen provided. To our surprise, ladies can try on colorful japanese clothes, we really have fun.

A century-old store with great charm. The decoration is elegant and the service is considerate. Each room on the first floor has a private hot spring and is very clean. Dinner and breakfast were both served at the hotel. In one word, it was great.

The name of Shenxian Hotel, which is recommended on the Internet, attracted us very much. The rooms in this hotel are okay, but the main price is the service and food. Of course, this is a hotel with a lot of yang energy, and it just feels very comfortable.

It was the first time for a group of 4 of us to travel to Takachiho. A friend strongly recommended that we stay at "Shenxian", so we booked 2 rooms. We were greeted by parking attendants, explained the room, and made reservations for dinner and breakfast. The receptionists were very nice. They are considerate and have good English skills. The rooms are clean and the hot spring ♨️ water is super good. Dinner and breakfast are fresh and delicious. We will stay at this hot spring hotel again and recommend it to our friends.

Shunwafeng Inn, the dinner was very popular, and the indoor open-air bath environment was very comfortable. The hotel is very close to Takachiho Kip, so you can walk or take a taxi there without having to fight for a parking space early in the morning!

Everything was excellent. The service was warm, attentive, and truly first class. The food was great. The grounds were well-kept. The rooms and facilities were clean and well-maintained. The staff members were all well-trained and cared deeply about the guests' experience. Shinsen was the highlight of our trip and has become our new benchmark for what ryokan experience should be like. We stayed in "Asuka" room (traditional Japanese-style room with futons rather than western beds) and it was lovely. The private outdoor onsen hot tub was great - our kids loved it.

We have never been so well catered to and I have stayed at other ryokans before. The facilities and food were fantastic and the staff was very attentive. They would talk to us about our plans and provide tips on getting there. There were a couple of very above and beyond moments we had during our four night stay here. The first being when we went to see the Takachiho Kagura show at the temple a few minutes away. They helped us to dress in yukata and drove us there. When we arrived, the driver ran up the hill to the temple ahead of us to get us tickets before they could be sold out. The other moment was when we asked about the hyuganatsu fruit we had for dessert the night before. They actually called around the local markets to see if there was any left for us to purchase and unfortunately, the fruit was not in season but they surprised us later that night with hyuganatsu in our salad and the hyuganatsu jelly we loved so much the night before. We grew to adore our attendant Chung Shu Fan who took us to our dining rooms and was very kind and spoke to us in English as we struggled with the Japanese language. We always looked forward to breakfast and dinner here where we were served the best of the local delicacies.

Very comfortable Riokan, well appointed and well decorated. Large bedroom with lounge area, private onsen. Gourmet dinner with caviar starter, lobster and sea bream shashimi, Karachico beef, etc. Dedicated staff in kimono. So fi weak.

I wanted to go to Takachiho Gorge, so I made a reservation with JTB. The food was wonderful, beautiful and delicious. The open-air bath attached to the room was so relaxing that I could get rid of the fatigue of two years due to the corona sickness. (Radium hot spring, body-friendly feeling, transparent) Recently, people talk about work style reforms and paid leave, but everyone at the ryokan works really hard and I was able to receive pleasant service. The only drawback is that it is far from the airport and Shinkansen station, and you have to drive on winding roads that women are not good at.
