Best Hotels near Minamiaso Visitor Center, Takamori

On April 11, 2022, I had lunch in Kowloon. From there, drive to Sherpa in Kumamoto City to finish your shopping, then drive along Prefectural Route 36. Climb the outer rim of Mt. Aso. I probably won't use it because I'm going to the public bath, but there is also a bathtub. It is troublesome that wifi has to register an e-mail address with ”Kumamoto free wifi”. I was able to connect at 35 Mbps here within the Rakuten Mobile range. The best bath is the open-air bath where you can enjoy this view. The quality of the spring was colorless and transparent, and it did not look like a hot spring. Dinner is at the restaurant. There was a lot more than I thought in the Viking format. However, since it was the cheapest course, it became a ”buffet without a main dish” (sweat;) Tsure was mainly curry rice. The dessert made me hungry (laughs). The next morning, there was already a line at the breakfast venue. Breakfast is also buffet style. My grandmother is even more voluminous than I am (laughs), and the second time is Western food (laughs). Overnight at Hotel Greenpia Minami Aso. I could see the volcanic smoke of Mt. Nakadake from my room. It's 6:00, so I head to the dinner hall. On this day, I tried curry rice as the main dish. Grandmother made soba the main dish. The next morning we checked out and drove on. A traditional onsen hotel, recently renovated and facilities modernised. The twin bed room is large - about 50 sq m in size. In addition, there is a balcony overlooking an excellent view. The breakfast and dinner buffet are fine, though not very special. I like the Japanese style dinner better. The hotel is situated inside the mountain. Access is not easy. There are no shops nearby.

As Takachiho Gorge is comparatively hard to get to we felt much better staying in Takachiho for a night. And it's great to find a modern hotel in Takachiho, the front desk was nice and helpful, note that it is such a small town and dining options are not a lot so I would recommend have dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Hotel has a large parking lot and breakfast is great (a bit wait in the morning during peak time)

One poo and two food, the room is quite large and clean, and the dining is good. The same high level of service as all spa hotels in Japan. The soup that comes with the hotel is very good, and the whole of Heikawa is iron-containing. The outdoor style is quite large, and the private soup for the guests is also very good. You can buy a hand at the front desk, and you can still choose 3 of the 25 hot springs in Kurokawa. The location is the town center, a few steps away is the popular puff shop.

I used it because I had a business nearby. I had a child of 1 and a half years old, so I want you to call in advance and put the bed on the wall. I'm asking you to prepare a bed guard. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told by phone, so it was very helpful. Also, my buttocks disappeared and I was able to ask at the front desk, which was very helpful. The room was clean and I didn't care about noise and I could sleep well. The coin laundry was also 200 yen for the washing machine and 100 yen for 30 minutes for the dryer, so it was easy to use. Also, I would like to use it when there is something nearby.

A restaurant inn close to ASO Jinja shrine. Service and the cherry blossom room in the building are good. Now it is a small number of people, and the drink order during the meal is painful. It is highly likely that it will arrive at the back entrance from ASO Jinja shrine and bus stop, and in that case, it may take time to notice even if it enters. Although the quality is high overall, there is an impression that there is no writing equipment in the questionnaire, and there is no counter, so the place of check-out is unclear now.

Service was impeccable. This is a traditional Japanese style hotel (Ryokan), and we stayed in a separate house with private onsen bath room, living room and bedroom, as well as a small terrace. The room was excellent. Meals were sent to your room by friendly staff. Food was fantastic.

We are so happy we booked this hotel for heading to Mt Aso. First, the staff greeting was super warm and welcoming. The hotel is brand new and while our room was a great and functional design, the bed was the most comfortable western-style bed we’ve had in all of Japan! It’s location is super convenient if you arrive by train (it’s across the street) and while they don’t really have dining facilities, there is a fun outdoor market right outside where we grabbed dinner: meat skewers, mustard greens biscuit and a delicious craft beer (there is also ramen and a few other food choices).
