Nice room in a good location. Good breakfast. Tamarindo beach is really nice (minus all the sales people)

Walking distance to grocery store, gym, laundry shop, restaurants and Tamarindo town center. Did not get woken up by any noise or music at night. Customer service from staff is excellent, front desk Juan Carlos and breakfast staff Jeffrey were amazing. Kitchen staff prepared food for us early in the morning when we needed to leave early for excursions. Housekeeping made sure we had clean towels. Beach towels are always available. There is ice and water dispenser for staff so this kept us hydrated. Pool is clean and maintained, enough seating area to lounge or relax. There is security at night and fence is locked. It was nice to have the option of going through the front or back door. I would highly recommend this to anyone and would go back and stay again. Relaxing atmosphere and unique find! The suite is well taken care of and the hammock is a plus! Thank you to hotel Arco Iris for the amazing stay!

I was looking for a hotel that would be close to the Tamarindo town center but not very noisy and in the middle of everything, and Arco Iris fit like a glove. It's a couple of blocks away from the main action, and the vicinity always felt very safe at all times. This a small hotel with few rooms, which means you get to know the people and the attention is very good. There's a small pool with plenty of seating and shade around it. The eating area is very nice and spacious for breakfast. The breakfast is generous in quantity and excellent quality, as well as diverse in choices. The rooms are very comfortable and have great AC, great showers, a good TV, and a fridge. Room service keeps them super clean. There are grocery stores, shops, and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. I also really liked that they are not stingy about lending towels for the pool or the beach. Overall, we had a wonderful time staying here. You get really good quality for the cost, especially considering how expensive the whole area is.

Lovely small hotel with a nice poo and great staff. We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was very nice with a hammock on the porch. The bathroom and room were quite nice. Good location with parking and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Front desk staff were very helpful and polite. Enjoyed the whole experience.

We honestly can’t understand how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. This was our second stay at Arco Iris, and once again it exceeded every expectation. This visit actually happened because of a last-minute change of plans. We had originally booked another nearby rental with similar pricing and reviews just to try something different from our last stay at Arco Iris. Unfortunately, that decision turned out to be a huge mistake. To say the place was disappointing would be a major understatement. Thankfully, Arco Iris had a last-minute opening. Even though we had already paid for seven nights at our original rental, we didn’t hesitate to book three nights here as our “rescue haven.” It ended up being the best decision we made on this trip. From the moment we arrived, everything reminded us why we loved this place the first time. The staff are truly exceptional—some of the most friendly, accommodating, and genuinely kind people we’ve encountered anywhere. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, and the entire property—from the pool and lounge areas to the lush gardens—is absolutely immaculate. A special thank you to Juan Carlo for the incredible hospitality and for making our stay so memorable. Arco Iris will always be our first choice when we return.

We stayed here as a couple in Room 15 (second-floor corner), and the view alone made it worth it—beautiful scenery right from the room. There is AC in the rooms! The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot but still central to everything, which was perfect. You can escape the noise when you want, but you’re never far from restaurants, bars, or the beach. We visited during March Break—aka the American “Spring Break”—and while the town was lively, the hotel felt like our little peaceful hideout (a big win if you’re not trying to party 24/7 😄). The property itself is very clean and has a quaint, boutique feel. It’s smaller, so you don’t get overwhelmed with crowds—which honestly made it even better for a relaxing stay. Henry at reception was fantastic—super friendly and always happy to help with anything. They also offer laundry service every morning for $5 USD/kg, and we usually had it back the same day if we dropped it off early. Breakfast is served from 7:00–9:00 AM and was consistently amazing. There are about 5 options, but they’re very accommodating. We had everything from sourdough with avocado and eggs to yogurt bowls with homemade granola and fresh fruit, and omelettes with fruit—everything was fresh and delicious. There’s also a small pool with both shaded and unshaded lounge chairs, perfect for relaxing. The beach is about a 7 minute walk. Since we went during high season, it was quite busy, and renting a chair costs around $25–30 USD depending on who you ask.

We had a great stay! We found it quiet and peaceful, and a short walk to the beach and main *****. We loved the daily breakfasts and the pool was a great amenity. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful! The hotel helped us arrange transport to and from the airport, and we booked an excursion as well, which was awesome! Our room was very clean!

I stayed at Hotel Arco Iris for 7 days with my daughter. The daily breakfast, which is included with your stay was spectacular. The waiter, was friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The hotel is very central. The beach was not a far walk (5-8 minutes). We loved our experience.
