Refugio Lodge

It was our first time in Tamarindo and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. This was a very central location in the middle of all the action. Beach is a couple minutes walk. Clean place great breakfast included and their cafe is was amazing as well. Would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a centralized place with loads of action.

Loved it!!!!! I was looking for a fun vibes hotel for my last 2 nights in Costa Rica, I was looking for a happy place with happy people, live music and this is exactly what I found in this hotel! Comfortable bed, perfect place for Yoga near the pool, including yoga mats, all you needs for the pool and the beach including free insects repellent, sunscreen, earplugs whatnot! Close to the bars, shops, beach, Langosta, everywhere! The staff is amazing, the live band was great, I was so happy - would definitely recommend and return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Refugio Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The atmosphere has such a great vibe—relaxed, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The staff was amazing and truly made the experience special with their kindness and attention to detail. The food was incredible, and every meal exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and well cared for, and the location is perfect. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I've done quite a bit of travelling over the years and this was by far the best customer service I've ever experienced. Agustin and Juan both went so far above and beyond to make this an amazing experience.

Restaurant was amazing, monkeys over the roof in the trees, fun music at night. Only complaint is the loud music from all the surrounding venues.

We spent two nights here and had an outstanding experience. Big thanks to Augustin and his amazing staff. Communication was excellent and we had no issues during our stay. Easy walk to the beach. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend the omelette and avocado toast! Really enjoyed the live music as well. Thank you for memorable stay.

Probably the best complimentary/included breakfast that I’ve had at a hotel. Great location close to to everything. Little oasis in the middle of the town.
