SpringHill Suites Tampa Downtown

Hotel was conveniently located downtown with ample parking. Staff that we encountered were nice especially the ladies that prepared the free breakfast area. Rooms were new and clean. The downfall was there was no hand soap. We were notified when we checked in, however, we had 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner. So we were notified even able to use the shower soap to wash hands for the missing soap. We told the front desk and they said there’s also no body wash. They did say there is a mini mart down the street. Um, what?! We paid $300 for a night and we have to go purchase our own hand soap and our own body wash?! We were not even offered a reimbursement for this. Very strange. So my brain goes to if there’s no handsoap available…. All of these people are going to breakfast to share utensils to serve food and only Lord knows who touches what. This was VERY disappointing especially for a new Marriott. We expected much classier service for a newer hotel downtown especially at the cost. Hopefully that gets corrected immediately. Otherwise, would go back but no way to clean is a big deal.

Very well located. Jimmy at Valet was great. My only challenge was breakfast. I strongly recommend using one of the Conference Rooms to accommodate all the people and make sure to prepare for the big audiences. We spent a lot of time waiting for a chair to eat. Also the items were basically gone as soon as brought in (eggs, bagels, etc). Have a variety of items. Everything else very good.

Jimmy & all of the valet staff were extremely helpful & friendly. I had forgotten my phone charger in my car & Jimmy went above & beyond retrieving it for me. From valet to check-in & checkout was a seamless experience. I had also forgotten to print our boarding passes for our cruise & I was able to do it at the hotel quickly, easily & with no extra cost. Great stay overall!

Jimmy was an excellent valet guy! Extremely friendly and overall just an amazing experience! Overall would definitely come back here.

Both Jimmy and Adrian were great valets. They brought us our car in a timely manner and were very courteous. They suggested restaurants nearby that would interest our large party of eight.
