Hotel Nikko Guam

Due to the typhoon, the air conditioning was out of order, and the pool, gym, laundry room, and some restaurants were closed. Despite this, we were very grateful that they remained open. However, it was disappointing that during check-in, we were only informed about the AC not working. There were also yoga activities, but we weren't informed about them.

This hotel is a bit out of the way, at the edge of the hotel area, but it's not a problem if you have a rental car! The view is also great, so I highly recommend it! If you come to Guam, you absolutely have to get an ocean view room!

Pros: The location is decent, not too far from the airport or the city center, and there's a bus stop nearby. The pool view is nice, and the hotel's facility discounts are also valid at the neighboring Tsubaki Tower. Cons: I had anticipated that the facilities would be old, but the bathtub and sink were genuinely dirty, with a lot of grime and rust. Even though the windows weren't open, there was a damp, moldy smell as soon as I entered the room, and returning to the room each of the three nights really put a damper on my mood. What was most infuriating was that the room wasn't cleaned on the second day after check-in. I called housekeeping, but no one came. I also spoke with the front desk, but still no one came. Not only was the room not cleaned, but the towels weren't even replaced. It was only on the third day that I saw the room next door being cleaned and asked the staff for some new towels. Having stayed at so many hotels in Japan, I've never encountered such poor service quality – it was truly shocking. And the towels had some unknown stains on them, yet they weren't replaced daily. Compared to the price I paid, the value for money was incredibly low. Although I haven't stayed at a JAL hotel before, I definitely won't be choosing this one for future domestic trips in Japan. A truly terrible travel experience!

The hotel is a bit old but very clean. I was happy they provided L'Occitane amenities. Access to the beach is excellent! There are also many playgrounds for kids, so it's highly recommended for families with children!

Beautiful sea view room. The BBQ show at dinner was amazing, and the food at the buffet restaurant was also great. You can walk directly into the ocean and safely observe marine life.

Honestly, it was pretty average. The hotel felt a bit old and had a musty smell, but the fact that it has a beach and is by the sea is still a big plus.

I stayed here for 3 nights this time. The location is a bit further out compared to other hotels, as it's towards Two Lovers Point. However, the room was spacious, and the amenities were perfectly provided. It's also conveniently linked to the pool and beach, so you can use them anytime.

The waterslide was so much fun, I went on it 5 times! The room was clean, and even though it was a unit bath, the separate vanity made it easy to get ready.
