The best hotel to stay at Penang with nice sea view and have private beach that sufficient for kids.

The hotel is clean with a beautiful sea view. Hygiene was well-maintained throughout our stay. The only disappointment was our special request submitted before check-in for a simple room decoration to celebrate a birthday, which went unanswered until the day of arrival. However, overall, we were satisfied with our experience.

Great accommodation and perfect place for honeymoon! In every good thing, there’s always room for improvement. Lot can be done with the air-conditioner’s ventilation system because there’s a time where smoke scents fill up our room. But overall, me and my wife is beyond satisfied 💪🏽

The hotel was so great with perfect view. The room was quite spacious and the pool was so big..everything was stunning

Arrived @ 230pm and check in was smooth. Room was good. Cleanliness was acceptable. There was a 24hours mart beside the hotel within walking distance. Other than that youll need a transport to go elsewhere. Parking was available and free. Theres no much guest as we stayed on weekdays. Overall it was a good trip for us.

Nice and Clean Hotel. Facing to the beach. Morning Breakfast is good. Gym and swimming pool is ok. Dinner walking distance to the Hawker Foodcourt. Overall is good.

Review: Mixed Experience with Room Booking and Customer Service My recent stay was a mixed experience. While there were aspects that I enjoyed, such as the lovely ocean view, there were significant issues that marred my overall satisfaction. Check-In Process: Needs Improvement The check-in process was notably slow. The attendant seemed unprepared, asking me about the type of room I had booked. This information should have been readily available in their system. This initial interaction did not set a positive tone for my stay. Room Discrepancy: Disappointing and Frustrating Upon entering our suite, we were pleased with the ocean view, which matched our booking. However, I was disappointed to find that the bathroom only had a shower and no bathtub. A bathtub was a priority for us, especially since my son enjoys it. I had specifically booked a room with this amenity. When I contacted the front office, they claimed that no such room existed and asked me to provide proof of my booking details. This back-and-forth conversation was frustrating and spoiled my mood. They initially offered a smaller, hill-view room with a bathtub as a compromise and tried to compensate with a late check-out, which was not helpful for our plans. Resolution: Rollercoaster of Emotions After deciding to move to the hill-view room for the sake of my son, I was suddenly informed that an ocean-view room with a bathtub was available. Interestingly, the room they eventually provided was bigger, perhaps in an attempt to compensate for the inconvenience. However, this unnecessary emotional rollercoaster during our holiday was quite distressing. Overall Stay: Mixed Feelings Apart from the unpleasant experience with the room booking and customer service, we did enjoy the beautiful view from our room. However, the initial miscommunication and the handling of the situation left a lasting negative impression. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve their booking and check-in processes to avoid similar issues for future guests.

everything is good except for location wise. food court need to walk 15 minutes.

Overall a very disappointing stay at a Mercure. Does not feel like a 4 star property at all. As with all the reviews, the front desk staff appears to be very new and unwelcoming. We wanted to do early check in at 12noon (where we are okay to wait till the room is ready) but was told it's not possible and to come back at 3pm. Staff was also not prepared/aware if we can have our luggage stowed within the hotel while we explore the area. They've directed us to the security guard, who directed us back to the front desk. Hotel facilities also showed severe signs of aging. The room floor laminates were uneven and had holes. There was also a layer of dust on the table in the rooms. Room amenities were also lacking and we had to request from housekeeping. Breakfast was alright since it was part of the room rate but the quality of the food could be improved.

5 star from me for this beautiful seaview hotel. A strategic location for holiday because very near to komtar and Penang town and near to ferringhi beach and butterfly farm and Taman negara. Pool and beach are main attraction for this hotel. Nice breakfast and very clean hotel.

This Hotel was conveniently located and easily to found. The room very comfortable and was well equip with water boiler, filter water, ice box safe box, hair dryer.My stay was very enjoyable. The bed was large and very comfortable.Reception Staff very friendly, fast and obliging. I was very happy to be given an early check-in. Love the beautiful beach,the swimming pool are great also.walking distance beachside to nice cafe and a Chinese temple.
