Hompton Hotel by The Beach

The hotel is seriously poorly maintained. I had been facing a few situations 1. The AC blower in the room was loose and noisy. The maintenance team came and check , and confirmed that it was abnormal and something is loose causing the noise. I requested for a change of room. It was around 5pm the day I checked in. However, the front desk only contacted me for room change after 830pm which my kid was already asleep due to tiredness. I decided not to change the room 2. Poor cleanliness all around. I can see hairs on the floor when I checked in 3. The tap on the sink in the toilet was not in good condition too. It was splashing water , not like normal water flow 4. During second day morning , we went out at 11am, switching on “pls clean my room”. After we came back at 530pm, room was not cleaned. Need to call front desk twice to get some replenishment It is just overall very unpleasant experience. Definitely not going to stay there anymore

The hotel is in good location but everything is old  in the room, the aircorn not cooling, was sweating! When everything is old they should bring down the price as once, but than the price is still high

This is my 5th stay in this hotel, good location and nice beach, free parking. Nice view room, importantly it's clean. Hotel crews are polite and friendly. Surprisingly they prepared a small piece of cake for my birthday son. Many thanks. We always have a wonderful vacation there.

1. The view from the hotel room was great! 2. Room was very spacious for a family of 4, even the bunk bed was quite comfortable too 3. They have an eatery right in front of the hotel, very convenient

warm service from the staffs and great facilities! we booked the stay for the sea view and easy access to penang's beach area, and it does not disappoint! our room was half overlooking the sea and we can view the sunrise from our room. the dining area and the pool also serve great view of the sea💙 there's a stairs from the tapas area (first floor) that allows us to directly go to the beach. however, when the tide is high, the sandy area of the beach is completely covered. room is clean, although there're few tiiinyy spots on the pillow cover. the aircon is centered and cannot go lower than 18 degree. it might feel abit hot and humid when you first enter the room. leave the aircon on for a while and you're good🙌

Excellent. The staff were so helpfull and nice. The breakfast 10/10 with many choices. The view was stunning and easy access to beach. Recommended!! Only the lift you have to wait lil longer (i got sweat by waiting). Overall nice place to stay and will repeat.

Strategic location, near to many restaurants. Got Chinese foodcourt opposite of the hotel. Big room and suitable for family. But the beach is not for picnic. So narrow. Breakfast was good, nice and lot of choices.
