We stopped off for Sunday Lunch at this beautiful place. The interior and exterior was great and the Sunday lunch was delicious! What let the place down was front of house manager who clearly was having a "bad day". You could overhear conversations not for customers ears and if you asked for anything, it seemed too much trouble. It just came across rude. The rest of the staff were perfectly polite and welcoming.

Comfortable hotel although not overly friendly. Breakfast room opened late but breakfast was very good. Night porter quite dismissive.

Had a Sunday lunch here on the pre booked roast menu with free sweet. Started with poor drinks choices, my husband was not happy they had no real ales, I should have asked before I booked! My daughter ordered a Coke and was given a Pepsi max which was replaced with a real Coke when she returned it to the bar, We waited over an hour for food, when it arrived we were told we should have been told that by ordering the Lamb shank there would be a long wait. My lamb was delicious but the presentation could have been better and a Yorkshire pudding the size of a side plate did not look attractive. The roasted potatoes and veg was all over done and the other veg was shredded cabbage and beans. Since we were getting free dessert we had the choice of 3. The brownie and ice cream was very good but again it was a long wait. The Eton mess my husband ordered was the worst he has ever had. Two and a half hours for a meal was a bit excessive. We won’t be returning.

Stayed here on Friday and the rooms were great, clean, cozy and just what we needed. We used the bar on the Friday night and was lovely in there very warm and cozy and then a singer on at 7pm which was a good change had a great night and the drinks were very fairly priced!!

Been staying here a for a while for work purposes. The rooms have all the basic needs and cleaned every day. The foods very good (one of the reasons we came back) great breakfast!! Staff very friendly and helpful!! Lots of parking, one happy customer 👍🏻

The hotel was beautiful both inside and out. Staff were really friendly and nothing was too much to ask. The room was spacious and clean, ideal for a great nights sleep as the area is very quiet with minimal traffic at night. I had an amazing meal in the bar and restaurant paired with the football in the bar was a great way to end a long day at work. Super value for money too with their happy hour drinks 4-7 which was a bonus.

Visited with my wife Sunday afternoon as we love the to come for the Sunday lunch and one of the great desserts. The food was great as it always is and we didn’t have to wait too long for it to arrive. The a**osphere in the pub was great and the staff were really helpful and attentive. Will be back as always.
