The room was nice, a little empty, but the king-size bed was made of two mattresses put together, which I didn't like. The hotel bar was in a great location, with a beautiful view and good drinks. The overall service was very warm, but one staff member at the reception made me feel uncomfortable. When I wanted to book a shuttle bus, he repeatedly emphasized that this service was only for guests staying in the hotel, but I had clearly told him that I was staying in the hotel. I'm not sure if his repeated emphasis was based on me being Asian or based on my sloppy dressing, which made me feel uncomfortable. I hope to strengthen employee training.

Hotel Timeo in Sicily offers an exceptionally beautiful and unique setting, impressing with incredible views and luxurious interiors. However, some aspects of the service and guest care do not meet the expectations for this price range. We had a situation where we were left without a place for dinner and found out that they do not have a policy to assist guests with dining in the hotel's restaurants. Being a guest of the hotel does not guarantee you a table for dinner there. The only thing that saved us was the effort of a staff member named Erga, who tried to get us a table at the hotel's restaurant but couldn't and eventually reserved a table for us at a nearby restaurant."

Came here for my birthday last week and had an aperatif on the terrace. Daniele was particularly helpful in recommending cocktails for me and my friends and we absolutely loved them. 5 star service, the view was also an added bonus! Will be back, thanks Daniele :)

We love the Grand Hotel Timeo. The location, especially the view from the Terrace, captures Mt. Etna, the beautiful seaside town of Giardini Naxos and the sea. It sits right next to the Ancient Greek theater dating from 300 BCE and is a quick walk to the center of Taormina and all the wonderful shopping and restaurants. The service is impeccable. The overall manager, Massimiliano Puglisi, the Guest Experience Manager Manuela Compagnino, and the entire Concierge staff are experienced, knowledgeable, life long Sicilians who know and love Sicily and work creatively and diligently to satisfy the needs of their guests. The Terrace Restaurant, bar, pool and housekeeping are very well managed. Otto Geleng, the Michelin rated restaurant, is very special. Chef Toro and his team provide exceptional cuisine overlooking Etna and the sea. This hotel is part of the Belmond organization. The GH Timeo has a shuttle every 30 minutes to the other Belmond property close by, the Villa Sant' Andrea, so guests of the Timeo have access to the beach, a very nice bar/restaurant on the beach and another world class restaurant. A visit to this hotel is an experience that is authentic, unique, fulfilling and magical.
