TAO YUAN GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB YAWARD RESORT

During my recent trip back to Taiwan, I had a reservation from December 24th to December 30th. However, an incident on December 28th prompted me to change accommodations earlier than planned. A two-year-old child arrived that day. He wasn't staying overnight, just visiting for a few hours. It was pouring rain, the child was crying and hungry, and the food delivery driver couldn't find the location. The front desk's response was completely unhelpful. The most memorable thing they said was, "This is not within our scope of responsibility." At that moment, it became clear to me that I wasn't asking for special treatment. I was simply hoping for basic human kindness and professionalism in a shared public space. That's why I decided to leave—not out of emotion, but because of a fundamental boundary that was crossed. The cost was never the issue. What matters is that in times of urgency and when assistance is genuinely needed, a hotel should provide the expected support and response. That's a basic expectation, not an unreasonable request. While I eventually received a refund, there was no genuine apology, just a generic, "We'll enhance our staff training" response. Despite my follow-up call, I never received a call back. So, I have to wonder: wouldn't it be better to refine their services and attitudes before accepting new guests, to avoid inconvenience for everyone involved?

The hotel offers a good range of facilities, making it ideal for families. The rooms are clean, and there are plenty of play areas for kids. However, I'd suggest visiting on weekdays for better value for money, as weekends can be quite pricey. Breakfast and a late-night snack are also provided.

The room was spotless. I was pleasantly surprised at how well-maintained this older hotel was. The complimentary late-night snack and breakfast were both fantastic! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and even my kids slept soundly until morning!

Lots of fun play facilities for the kids, but they should really extend the time for the car rides. We couldn't get a late check-out, and having to leave by 11 AM made our morning swim feel super rushed.

Convenient for early morning tee times, and two meals were included, which was a great bonus.
