Nice place, good airco, in the old town close to restaurants etc. Breakfast was sad (pre-packed toast, butter and jam).
The city of Taranto is not very nice, a lot of boarded up homes, streets at dirt etc. There is not much to do. I thought the price of the room was high considering that city.

This place is gorgeous! I got the apartment on the 3rd floor with a large private terrace, nice living room with a sofa, comfortable bed, and a beautiful shower. There were chilled bottled water, really, coffee, and snacks in the kitchen. Housekeeping was checking with me on the second morning, making sure I got all the supplies. The front door was a bit hard to find as there weren't any signs. No staff on site but someone is available via phone and WhatsApp. Wifi worked great when I was there. The location was perfect. I had a great stay.

Ho alloggiato qui per una notte per un breve soggiorno a Taranto. La mia stanza era un mini-appartamento completo di tutto. Stanza pulita, due TV e letto comodo. La zona non è il massimo ma comunque vicina al centro. In generale è una buona sistemazione.

Dark and dingy room, completely unlike the pictures on the website showing it as bright, light and airy. Windows open to walls within touching distance. It was like a dungeon, and we decided not to stay. We booked elsewhere at the last minute and sought a refund for the 2 nights, but got nothing. Not even 50%. Utterly disgusted. Don Alfredo does not deserve your custom.

Ho soggiornato al Don Alfredo per alcuni giorni, prima nell'appartamento Francesco al primo piano e poi all'ultimo piano, al Nonna Clelia. Il primo è più piccolo con il letto sul soppalco. Consiglio di spendere qualche euro di più per avere la mansarda che è molto ampia e con un terrazzo fantastico. Mi sono trovato bene, vivendo la vacanza in completa autonomia. La stazione è a 10 minuti a piedi, la città nuova a 15-20 minuti a piedi. Non avevo l'auto. Pulizie giornaliere e personale molto cortese. La zona di Taranto vecchia deve ancora svilupparsi turisticamente ma ha un potenziale enorme, ancora inespresso. È una zona rumorosa, decadente, a volte trascurata, motorini, gente che urla ma il Don Alfredo è un'oasi di pace. Lo consiglio davvero.

I contacted the phone and was answered promptly, a girl came and gave me the keys and explained to me everything. The place is fantastic, it is a small flat, very clean with everything you may need to make your stay comfortable, it is located in the old part of the city with plenty of restaurants and bars all around it, a nice view of the bay. As a B&B Iit was the best I found so far.

di questa struttura ho amato il perfetto contatto con il mare e i servizi gentilmente offerti dal disponibilissimo staff in quanto in momenti di mancanza di alcuni prodotti, ad esempio l'acqua, non ha esitato nel fornirci il necessario…!
