Firstly, the staff here and customer service is 10/10. They went out of their way to help and were so polite. My rating is just based on the room itself really. My top complaint is pets had clearly been in the room. The amount of pet hair in the carpet was disgusting. I’m not talking 10 pet hairs, I’m talking a whole load of them and I could see where dogs favoured sleeping in the room. My kids have allergies this needs to be stopped and rooms assigned specifically for pets. I don’t expect them to sneeze in your rooms or suffer irritation. Don’t blame your cleaners though, it looked like the room had been hoovered in general but the nature of the carpet meant the hairs were all entangled in the carpet. Flooring is not designed sufficiently to enable deep cleaning after dogs. As for the room, it was old, carpets were curling up and coming away at the corners of the room, many stains on walls etc. the design of the bathroom was very poor. The hand soap was high up so my 5 year old couldn’t reach it and the shower gel dispenser was above my head so kids had no hope for independence. This is strange and not a problem we encounter at other hotels where things are normally at an accessible height. The child’s fold out bed was uncomfortable and weak, when my child sat at the bottom end he dipped right in and it appeared to be giving way beneath him. It constantly creaked. We also had both children sharing the fold out bed and I prefer other hotel chains where they have two separate and more sturdy child beds in a room. I think it’s time for a refurb here!
