The location was very convienient give we had a 200m walk to the venue. Space available in the unit was well utilised with limited comforable seating. Overall very nice and well apointed units

Friendly staff,. Very clean,.comfy bed and close to towm.
We were on bottom.floor,.was a bit noisy from upstairs guests can hear toilets and walking above, but we had. Great stay

From the street the motel looked a little run-down, but this proved a fairly superficial assessment. Our room, a 1-bedroom suite, was large, clean and comfortable, and we could park directly outside. The motel is also conveniently located to the town centre. The kitchen area was a very good size, with room for food preparation and well appointed with full sink, stovetop, plenty of pots and pans, cutlery etc. The owner/operator was helpful: we asked to change rooms to be on ground-floor and she readily accommodated that request. We did have two disappointments here: the low water pressure in the shower and the fact that the milk we were supplied came in 4 little capsules. In all the other motels, hotels and motor camps we stayed at during this trip around NZ, we were given milk (and usually whole milk, not UHT) in plastic bottles or in cartons.

Stayed here on our tour of New Zealand. The rooms are large clean and tidy. Reasonably priced, Located in central and close to shopping and restaurants. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Note there are no elevators to upstairs rooms. Reasonably priced. Recommended.

My mum and I had a lovely stay at Chevron Motel in Taupō. The location was fantastic – just a short walk to the shops and the lake. The unit was clean, tidy, and very quiet, which made for a really relaxing stay. We felt comfortable and well looked after. We’d definitely stay again!
