A truly outstanding place with great views of Lake Taupo. Set in a very nice area a few kilometres SW of Taupo, Liz and Steve runs this beautiful boutique hotel with a. Lot of hospitality. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and a complimentary cheese board awaited us upon arrival. The views from the balcony with cheese and wine….! Highly recommended. We will return!

What a beautiful place this is! Modelled on Florence Nightingale's english house, I doubt that Florence would have experienced the luxury that the Belle Vue lodge offers. Our hosts Steve and Liz were awesome, generous and very welcoming. We felt very at home during our stay. The grounds are as beautiful as the rooms and the four course meal was outstanding. I would stay here again without hesitation. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Your hosts, Liz and Steve, are wonderful and welcoming. A lovely restored property with French and colonial themes. An excellent continental breakfast and a comfortable, well apportioned room with amazing views of the lake and Taupo. A very relaxing weekend stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights and thought the host Steve, was very welcoming. The house/ accommodation is lovely and I personally appreciated the amazing chandeliers. We ate the 4 course meal - whilst I appreciated it, I personally didn’t feel the food was restaurant quality. I also thought that the accommodation was quite expensive - luckily we got a deal with added extras. I would have preferred more sound proofing in the rooms as I could hear the people next door.

My wife and I visited Belle Vue whilst on our tour of the North Island. The accommodation is stunning and the views to die for over the lake. The hosts were lovely and a pleasure to speak to and they couldn’t have been more welcoming. If you’re in the area, I would highly recommend you stay here if you can.
