Nice area, but there are 3 buildings and only the main one has a clear lake view. I was in one of the other buildings and although it had a balcony that faced the lake, there were parking lots in between. The price was only 104 with tax for a king bed and balcony, though, so i can't complain there. The room was average or below, with scuffed looking and mismatched furniture and very thin towels. Cleanliness was ok, but could have been better. Breakfast was also ok, but not great. I would stay again but would want to stay in main bldg overlooking lake.

We’ve been staying here for the last 4 years and always book early hoping to get a lakeside room with a balcony - it didn’t happen again. This time got a view of the government buildings. If you don’t boom directly through them then that’s probably the issue but prices are cheaper elsewhere. Glad it wasn’t building 1 because you never get parking due to the restaurants there. We question ourselves about staying each time we book. Maybe we’ll get lucky next year - or maybe we’ll look elsewhere - have t decided yet.

Billing - Made reservation on line. Got confirmqtion. However booking costs on confir- mation were approximately 25% more than initial price. Read email. "Amount may include any amounts charged to us for resort fees, cleaning, & other fees and/or fee we, the hotel supplier , etc. etc.etc." Also shower curtain improperly installed. Water dripping causing floor of MUD. Advised staff. Indifferent, confrontational (over fees), "will make a note" . Stayed in building 2. Restaurant on ground floor overpriced, scant portions. Great views though - of bothe Lake Dora AND County Jail just behind hotel.

There was a bar at the location. The music was extremely loud very late at night. It made it rough to get to sleep. We had early times to get up so that's the only thing I wasn't pleased with. And the little bugs everywhere.

The Key West Resort is a hidden Florida gem. Lovely atmosphere, watching the sea planes land off our balcony deck was so.much fun! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of restaraunts within a short walking distance. We will definitely be back!
