I've been staying at Ocean Pointe since the early 90's and have always enjoyed my stay. I suggest opting for the 2 bedroom model for the master bedroom view of the ocean. The one bedroom units have the bedroom next to the entry door and exterior walkway - the extra money will be rewarded with the view from your bedroom. The resort is convenient to some of the best restaurants in the Upper and Middle Keys as well as Robbie's Mariana and other tourist stops. Even when our destination was Key West we first stop for the night at Ocean Pointe so as to start fresh in the morning to continue our drive south at a relaxed pace. This trip was strictly for relaxation at the resort and it fit the bill perfectly.

Perfect place at the keys. Big rooms, fully equipped kitchen. They have everything we need, no need to bring anything only food. Will keep stying in here at least once a year.

Resort was very nicely appointed with amenities. Large pool and quaint beach area. Somewhat secluded, off the immediate beaten path of US 1. Great view from our 3rd floor room, which was clean.

Had to go to an alternate location to check in.
When entering the room the room was cloudy. There was an air purifier on the kitchen floor but the air was not clean. My wife and I started coughing after 15 minutes to where we had to take a walk. After returning we checked out after only a two hour stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit that we stayed in was very nice and clean. It had everything that we needed.
The only thing that is stopping me from giving it a 5 star rating is the overwhelming smell of cat urine and feces that we experienced when we walked out of our unit. We were in building 4 and there is a large amount of feral cats and raccoons that live at the back of the building and the smell was terrible. That being said as soon as we got out of the building we didn’t get the smell and it definitely didn’t carry inside the unit.

Check in was very quick and easy. The check in employee was extremely friendly and provided useful information about local attractions, restaurants, etc. Our condo AC needed to be serviced and a tech arrived within minutes after I called the office to report the problem. The AC issue was resolved in less than 10 minutes. The kitchen was not very well appointed, but the basics were provided (no mixing bowl, cutting board, baking sheet but there were pans, cups, bowls, plates and silverware). If you plan to cook, make sure to bring everything you may need. The property was very clean, the condo was very comfortable, the views were magical, and the nightly raccoon fest I observed from the balcony was highly entertaining.
