It's about a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute drive from the busiest street. The facilities aren't brand new, but they are quite clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very welcoming when I checked in and even upgraded my room. If you plan to stay, I recommend booking in advance, as they often sell out on weekends.

However, the bathroom in this room didn't have a heated towel rail or a heater, which is quite unusual for New Zealand. We only stayed one night and arrived late. First thing we noticed was how clean the room was - we have stayed in hotel rooms 100s of times and this one was up there with the best for how clean it was. Room layout was excellent and service great. We would definitely stay again.

Good motel, with a brand new kitchen facility. Rooms felt a bit cold - but heaters provided did a fine job! Would recommend for a stop over to Milford.
