Great location, comfortable room with harbor view, and interesting history. A bit of an eccentric design, but that’s in the eye of the beholder. What kept this from 5 stars was an awkward entry, either on the Main Street through the lobby bar or through the driveway without pedestrian paths. Concierge service was pleasant but the station wasn’t always occupied, allowing untended access to elevators.

Our room was never made up. We had to request more towels, tea and milk as no one serviced our room. Disappointed. We love the QT, having stayed a while ago, but felt standards had slipped this time. I found it difficult to navigate the website in terms of booking for meals etc.. The QR code was not user friendly and the QT appears to be missing some major marketing opportunities towards targeting a captured audience...their guests.

Great location, unbelievable ambiance so cool, totally recommend this hotel for your stay in Wellington. Be sure to walk down the street to the Te Papa museum about NZ it is special

Busy hotel at central of the city. Location is great as it is located right in front of Te Papa museum and short walk from the bay with stunning view. Cafes and restaurants are easy to reach as well from the hotel, short walk to Cuba st. Room is ok but wall is rather thin as we can hear what happened next door. Layout of the bathroom is a bit inconvinient too. But we love the Dyson hairdryer. Hotel lobby is rather busy all the time but we enjoy the art exhibition at ground floor.

been looking to stay here for years and finally got a decent price. Having stayed now i know why. You have to admire the management who decide to close both onsite restaurants allegedly for refurbishment at the same time !! one was open for breakfast only ??? not sure how you refurbish something that is still open for breakfast. absolutely threw it down for three days so forced to go out for dinner. Could not get a drink third day as barman was only staff on and could not cope with demand..he told us to find a table and he would come take our order. Thirty minutes later we went elsewhere. Hotel is tired and needs a makeover. The staff where great the problems clearly lay with management.not enough bar staff at peak times. on a positive location is as good as it gets. Normal room rate reflects a top hotel- it is currently was short of that
