The property is centrally located, easily accessible , has all that the average traveller would need. Reception is by remote access with clear instructions by email including photos. Parking available across the road. Very comfy bed. Kitchenette has sufficient things for breakfast. Good cafe in convention centre next door. Would stay there again. Good value for money

I booked one night (15 May) through *********** and was charged $377.92. I called U Residence to add one more night and was charged another $762.60 (I should have asked how much it would be, but didn't expect it to be more than double). I sent them a message querying the amount and received no explanation. Even worse, our flights were cancelled (twice) and after each cancellation I called to inform them within minutes of each cancellation. After the second, I asked if we could change our booking as no flights were available and we would need to cancel our trip. It was a short, sharp NO. I told the guy we would have been happy with even a percentage as a credit (not a refund), still a NO. He said we should have informed him earlier.. like what?? ESP is not my strong suit. $1140 out of pocket, no fault of either party but man where has compassion gone?

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rooms and little extras that they provided, like the shower bomb, really lifted the overall experience. The U Residence is a self-service hotel, which didn't detract from the value and gave the freedom to arrive and leave as I please. Particularly given the location, I think this hotel is fantastic value for money and I will be staying here again.

Great communication, Great location, Excellent place to stay, the only place I’ll stay in Wellington from now. Quiet room, good wifi, good selection of entertainment and amenities. Nice hot shower, comfortable beds. Walking distance to everything!

Excelent hotel, location, service, very clean and close to the main places in Wellington. They are pet friendly and always our first option in mind when we visit the town. We love to visit the museum, auditorium, stores and enjoy best places for dinner

Great place to stay, so central and across the road from Te Papa and right next door to the Ta Kina event centre. Couple of blocks walk to Cuba Street and overall a great place to stay - very clean and spacious, we had a family suite. Great Balcony space outside - highly recommend. Easy Parking directly opposite.

At 10.30 pm, we were left stranded by Quest hotels who rudely told us they hadn’t got our booking and it wasn’t their problem. U hotels came to our rescue with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were in a great location, and offered clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed my harbour view room, - was great having a balcony for the view. The extra cost was worth it. The room was very clean, the booking and check in process very easy and hassle free. I would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you U Residence team :-)
