The Sofitel Moorea is a great resort that overlooks Tahiti in the distance. A very tranquil and beautiful place. We had a beautiful Garden view room not too far from the water, the staff was very pleasant. We had a very relaxing massage, went kayaking and enjoyed happy hour as we watched the sun set and enjoyed live music all from the facility I highly recommend this gem! We went for our 10th year anniversary which was arranged by John at Venture Tahiti. The Sofitel provided us a complementary bottle of Champagne for our anniversary. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Absolutely gorgeous. Staff is extremely helpful and considerate always with a smile on their faces. Special thanks to Patrice who helped with a room change and late checkout. Because of holiday mid morning ferry was cancelled. Great snorkeling off a beautiful beach. Only minor issue, no restaurant service between 3 and 6. Highly recommended for a bucket list vacation

This resort was nice and the first stop on our honeymoon. Venture Tahiti booked our trip and they handled everything and gave us some great recommendations. The staff here were welcoming. The landscaping was maintained. We had a honeymoon surprise waiting in our room on check-in. We stayed in a garden bungalow but still had a view of the lagoon and only a short walk to the water. The room was spacious, and the outside shower was fun, though missing a few tiles. The lighting in the room was a touch on the dim side. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. The spa service was relaxing. It rained a bit in the afternoons during our stay, so some activities got cancelled, but we adjusted to snorkeling and kayaking in the mornings with sun and drinks and lounging to the sound of rain on our terrace in the afternoon. Our least favorite thing were some roosters roaming the property that started crowing around 0400 every morning and went all day.

Très bel hôtel, idéalement placé sur un lagon remplie de magnifiques poissons. Les bungalows sont spacieux. On a vraiment beaucoup apprécie le remplissage quotidien du frigo, c'est très agréable. Je pense que l'espace "bungalows" nécessite des travaux de rénovation. Le personnel est très agréable et à l'écoute. En revanche, une petite déception, j'avais signalé que je fêtais mon anniversaire sur place (50 ans) et je m'attendais à une attention particulière.. mais ce n'est pas bien grave

Great location as it’s in a reef and the snorkeling is fabulous .
Nice staff ( mostly)
The food was pretty terrible and we went off site most nights - very overpriced and not very good.
The massages were just average and the rooms were very dark and need an upgrade .
If you don’t care about food the location was amazing

This was one of the best, if not THE best vacation we have had, thanks to the amazing staff and experience at the Sofitel! Even though we arrived early, we didn't have to wait too long for our amazing overwater bungalow. Jack at the front desk/concierge was kind and gracious (but who wasn't on the entire island?!) and gave us all the information we needed and always with a smile. Every single staff member we encountered was so kind with a genuine "ia ora na!" which made our stay so pleasant. The overwater bungalow was definitely worth it as we had the best snorkeling right off our own deck. On top of all the different kinds of colorful fish, we saw an eagle ray multiple times, puffer fish, eels, and a shark(!) from our room. It seemed surreal. Our bungalow was perfectly appointed with everything we needed for a super comfortable and amazing time.
