It is an experience. The entire set of rooms (20 of them) is floating on big bouys. The rooms are neat and spacious. Each one has a balcony and there is an open place to lounge. The open air dining area is great to enjoy the sun with your breakfast. The night air was rather chilly. They also have live music during dinner time. Through the daytime, the wagtails will keep you entertained. Some names need to be mentioned who made the booking and stay seamless and comfortable. Mr. Shubhajit Sen, the manager and his able assistant Mr. Ajoy Saha. They were responsive, helpful and cooperative. The food was good and most importantly the people serving it were cheerful and happy to extend the menu to include items which were not mentioned in the card. Must thank Jyoti and Ronnie for their help.

It is a unique option to stay. Since it is unique and you have to reach the floating huts by boat the cost is high compared to other hotels. They have floating dinning area as well. Definitely atleast a one time visit.

For the money they charge they have not provided a fraction of benefit. Food is bad. 3 dishes in total. Managed like a local paharganj hotel. Manager is indifferent and rude. View is great. They charge like a five star hotel but provide services like a cheap hotel

We stayed in the floating hut room in the middle of the lake and it was absolutely amazing and mesmerizing. The rooms are big and clean. The view is serene. Food is good as well. Highly recommended stay.

Of the limited options in tehri, this hotel offers tremendous view from the property but the hotel and rooms and service and food is a disaster. I stayed on the land room which were the worst! The outside of hotel is very well maintained and has a nice view but as soon as you enter you will doubt your decision of booking this hotel. The receptionist and the reception area is so pathetic. No professionalism no etiquettes. Took too long to give me my room keys as they were waiting for someone who would allot the room. Once we entered it has a disgusting ambience. The rooms are made of wood and it makes noise whenever you walk. The bed is not clean it has dust accumulated on all its corners and it seemed that the bedsheets were also not changed as they were dirty and there was hair all over the corners on the floor. The hospitality was even more pathetic. The room service and reception donot pick up the phone when called. If you plan to stay in Huts over water PLEASE DONOT, its so over rated. You will get bored as once you are dropped in your room you cannot go back to land. You will have to pay 2k for requesting boat to go back to land and trust me there is nothing on the huts except too much heat due to the evaporation of the water. If you are super rich and want to burn your money please stay here. Also there are water sports at an extremely high price. A 10 min boat ride costs 3K where as the govt charges 500 per person for 40 minute ride at the Tehri Tourist spot.Summing up, please DONOT stay at this hotel if you donot want to ruin your stay.

We had been to the Le Roi's Floating Huts on the 17th May 2022. The Views from the entire property and our room was out of the world. 10 on 10 for the views. The food was also good. The weather was pleasant. I have some concerns with the Hotel:- The front desk staff is totally un-professional. It took me 2 hours for check in and 1.2 hours for check out. We are paying such huge room fare and travelling in cars to New Tehri which has only this property to visit by spending high tourist car rates and then too these people do not value our visit. The staff of the hotel from Watchman to Waiters, From front desk to Housekeeping, no one has a hotel uniform. The reception of the hotel is very untidy and looks like a 1 star hotel. Also there is no instant speed boat service. They only provide this service when 2 check-ins or checkout are taking place at a time. We had to wait for other check in and check out which made us stand 30 mins. Also there is no cleaning below the huts in the water and thus there is a foul smell experienced in the Morning. The staff at the huts for Housekeeping and Food are very good and co-operative. They provide instant service and are helpful.
