Right from the moment we entered the hotel the front of house lady was an absolute delight. She was smiley, welcoming, friendly and fun. The newly renovated pool was wonderful. Despite all this, as someone who is gluten free the restaurant, menu and kitchen staff did not cater for my needs very well and were unwilling to be flexible, which was a real shame. Unfortunately we ended up having to go elsewhere to have something to eat in the evening as I did not feel able to eat there. Looking at the menu several other options could’ve easily been made gluten free with a few tweaks or by removing something (such as naan bread) however when asked, the kitchen staff were not willing to remove anything. With this in mind, the delightful front of house lady was extremely apologetic and ensured that whatever we needed to do in order to eat was fine - she even said if we had to bring a takeaway back that would be fine, if we ate in our room, and she would provide us with crockery and cutlery. I cannot fault this front of house lady - I only wish I took her name!!! She was a star and made the stay 100X better.
