I had an update on *********** app less than two weeks before the stay, followed by a brief email and a horrendously bad phone not at one point of contact was there a sincere apology. The member of staff wasn't even sure of the reason of the cancellation when asked. The room was booked for family to watch me take part in Ironman Wales the hassle stress and disappointment that have caused is just shocking. Avoid booking here if you actually want to stay in Tenby! I wouldn't even give the level of service a one star to be honest.

We were booked into Timothy’s for one night in a superior suite and had booked well in advance. Timothy’s cancelled on us for no reason. I suspect they got a longer booking request and just decided to cancel on us. If this is the ethical standard and customer satisfaction policy Timothy’s adhere to then I suggest you look elsewhere.

A strange place not quite a hotel but not is it a hostel ,we stayed in deluxe suite apartment ,very spacious and private. Living room with soda table chairs and tv ,door to courtyard space which is overgrown but not advertised so is a bonus for breath of air when hot. Kitchen with cooker fridge freezer microwave kettle and dishwasher but all cupboards are empty no cutlery ,utensils ,crockery etc so kitchen is pointless as can’t use it and no one expects to take a knife and fork away with them ? Bathroom smelt mouldy but it has no window so guess that’s expected toilet basin and bath with shower over ,a set of towels are provided and toiletries for one person. There was no toilet roll but we asked and were given some to use thank goodness. Bedroom with small double bed ,one bedside lamp and table and a dodgy chest of drawers and a sofa bed ,a strange window to nowhere that pigeons love knocking on constantly but it’s bearable . It was really hot outside but lovely and cool in the rooms we had . There is no food, bar ot other facilities that you would usually get in a hotel or B and B and noone on site but it’s good if you like being left alone and plan on eating and drinking out constantly. Location is fab for everything in Tenby and not noisy from pubs etc There is a large dining room with grand piano which is weird as no food etc available would be better use of space to have dart board, pool table or Some facilities that could actually be utilised. If your looking for hotel style accommodation this isn’t it but is better than youth hostel ,it’s somewhere n the middle of those and that suited us but may not suit others who enjoy the luxury of facilities and extras. It wasn’t the cleanest ,dust on headboard was thick but toilet was clean ,a slight basement musty smell and some clear signs of damp were obvious but it’s a listed building so it isn’t your standard box style hotel. There’s a step immediately outside room which I didn’t notice and fell down twisting my ankle and getting carpet burn amusing to me but to someone older or more vulnerable this could easily be quite dangerous ,definitely needs a mind the /remember the step sign in door even if to just cover the owners back against accidents.

Great location. Decent room but very basic and small. Shower was useless and dribbled out. No curtains just blinds so it was very bright in the early morning. Not much service provided. Room was boiling and in the loft. Having stayed somewhere else in Tenby previously and for a similar price I am unsure I would return to this hotel.

Wonderful welcome by a lovely lady on arrival, extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Location was fantastic, everywhere within walking distance. Room was a bit dusty but overall clean and tidy. Coffee machine in reception was a nice touch

OYO say "reception 9-5, check-in from 3pm". NOT TRUE on 27&28 September. 3pm-4pm the front door was locked & NO-ONE answered either phone number. Over an hour after we arrived someone phoned back (with an excuse) & arranged to meet us at 5.30 The expensive "superior suite" we'd booked smelt damp to us (it's below street level?), but the caretaker (?) kindly gave us room 5, which was nice. Someone has obviously gone to some trouble to try to make the building's interior nice; but then fallen down completely on its management. Apart from no staff & being locked out - from the reviews apparently this is not an uncommon experience - there was no hot water (in the washbasin) & only a lukewarm dribble in the shower. October approaching (there had been hail - ie ice - that day) the room was COLD, but no heating was running. Even the duvet was thin. And of course no-one working in the building to turn the heating on. Msg to owner: IF low occupancy/pandemic/etc makes having staff expensive, do like AirBnbs do - put codelock keypads on all the doors so people can get into the building then into their room. Customers will understand.

I have just returned from a two night stay at OYO Timothy's (although the OYO has now been removed from the front of the hotel!). I booked and was sold a hotel, but when I arrived I found it was room only. The room booked was a deluxe double suite with a view and I expected a bit of luxury. There was no 24-hour reception service, no concierge service as advertised on the website as expected from most hotels, no tea making facilities in the room, no hair dryer and the rooms are not serviced, the furnishings are worn and basic. The room decor is not acceptable for the price I paid for this hotel (£334 for two nights), the bathroom ceiling has damp patches. The window in our adjoining room we could not open and had no curtains, there was even a hole punched in the wall. The windows and frames were disgustingly filthy. The chair in our room was soiled and as shown on the website, there should be two bedside lamps, our room only had one. The PAT testing was out of date (illegal!) and an extension lead was trailed around the bed because there were not enough plugs and this was extremely dangerous, again no PAT testing label for the extension lead. The central ceiling light was fitted with three bulbs but only one was working. The shower hose was black and mouldy as was the shower tray and tiles. The light in the bathroom had dead flies and other debris which obviously had not been cleaned for months. The towel rail was hanging off the wall. There is no food available in the hotel and it appears as there has not been any food service for many many months. The pictures on *********** website show a restaurant set up to serve food and the furniture in the hotel is completely different than in the *********** website. This is against Trade Descriptions Act. I can book a Premier Inn for £40 per night which is absolute luxury compared to this hotel. I contacted the hotel and the owner was extremely rude, would not let me speak and basically disrespected everything I said and slammed the phone down on me. Please do not waste your money in this hell hole (not hotel!).

Never stayed in a hotel which seemingly has no staff before?! A little piece of paper with a mobile number to ring if you need assistance. No tea/coffee or even a kettle in the rooms just a small coffee machine in the reception area, which isn’t convenient when you’re on the top floor. When we did think of using it one night it didn’t work anyway! No hairdryer in the room so we rang the mobile number and one was found and brought to the room……but this also didn’t work!!! The actual room (room 7) was fine, reading some of the other bad reviews it sounds like one of the better rooms. It’s just spoilt by the lack of care and the lack of staff. Room wasn’t serviced at all so we had the same towels, bedding etc. Room was ok but let down by the rest of it. Wouldn’t recommend.
