Magnuson Hotel Texarkana

I booked the room through Priceline and when I arrived the front desk clerk said they didn’t have any non smoking rooms available and only had smoking rooms available I asked if I could see the room clerk walked me up to a room upstairs and when he opened the door a foul odor what smelled like cigarette smoke, poop and mildew I informed the clerk that I could not stay in that room he then showed me another smoking room and it smelled the same I could not stay in that room either and I wanted my money back he to contact Priceline. Priceline called hotel while I was still on the property the clerk had disappeared and was no where in sight so I gave Priceline the the number that was displayed at front desk they called and the person that answered yelled and screamed at rep for calling the number provided now I’m getting the run around trying to get my money back since they ran my credit card! I recommend that you never consider this hotel or Priceline for that matter because dispite what I reported to them they are standing with the hotel

They didn’t allow to check in after 12 even though the booking was made beforehand.

There was lots of remodeling going on and the smell of fresh pain was very strong but. We enjoyed it for one night

The room smells like cigarettes and sewer so bad I had to leave the door open for the first hour. No one would think about stealing their towels they are stained more than mine that I use to clean with. Behind the toilet there is black mold on the wall.. I have air freshener in my car so that helped the smell a little.

It was a great experience. They actually had a good Breakfast .

There was no handicap parking at the facility. The moment I walked in the room it smelled like urine. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned. There was no refrigerator or microwave. Breakfast was no longer being served as it says online. I went back to the front counter and gave back the parking pass and room key. This place should shut down or stay open for the homeless. .

Thought the price was good, but it's an older hotel that shows it's age.

I was supposed to have a non-smoking room but it was very strong with a smoke smell that kept me awake half of the night. Second, there were roaches in the room, including on the bed. Third, the bathroom was not very clean and the bathroom door was falling apart. Fourth, there was no way to close curtains where people outside couldn’t look in. Fifth, the electric plugs for the most part were unusable. Sixth, the bedding was torn and had burn holes in it. The first thing the clerk said was we don’t do breakfast anymore. It was a very disappointing stay. The only positive was the bed itself was pretty comfortable.
