Hotels Near Elephant Seaside Retreat in Thai Mueang

Our stay was such a blast that we decided to come back in the end of our trip. Everything is just perfect, starting from the gorgeous staff to the modern, luxurious rooms and the delicious food. The manager of this amazing place really has a deep understanding of hospitality and comfort. This was the most memorable place we stayed in during our trip, absolutely worth to stay in!

First of all - thanks to Raila and all the team! Raila helped so much with taxi from and to the airport, trip to Similan islands (our boat was one of the first at the main viewpoint so we did not have to elbow with others), recommended to visit a market in Khao Lak. The team was always ready to help with any request. The hotel is small and cozy, 50 steps (literally) from the beach. The second floor rooms with a seaview and the sound of the waves. The room was clean, with all necessary features and even more - there were beach mats, beach towels, bottle of water (every day), little hairdryer, umbrellas, small shampoo and shower gel. The bed was comfortable. Tasty was the breakfast, included a choice of eggs main part, yogurt with banana, fruits, tea/coffee, little juice and water. The beach is rather wide, not overcrowded and shows magnificent sunsets. The only disappointing thing is that the beach area is not as clean as it could be. There are a massage point and fresh fruit drinks near on the right (massage 350-500 bat, coconut 50 bat, fruit shakes 70-80 bat). The rest part of the beach (to the left) also provides these activities, there is also a outdoor surf club with an artificial waves. There is a beach restaurant just next to the hotel with all the most popular dishes. In 5 minutes walk there is a market street with souvenir shops, restaurants, exchange points and supermarkets. It seemed too stressing for me to go there by the high-traffic road, there is also a way through the beach (right behind the surf club) though. My strong recommendations for this hotel! Truly hidden gem)

The hotel staff speaks english and is very helpful. The villas are old and dated, internet access works only from the common area and you have plenty of stairs to climb. What this place has going for it is the location. It’s settled on a hillside and each little villa is overlooking the ocean combined with a tropical vegetation setting a beautiful accent. Unless you want to spend a fortune, there is no other place beating these views. I will come back.

we have now been to the third sunset resort. a small pretty hotel with a great location, great staff and very attentive employees. The terrace rooms are very good in a great location and have a priceless view of the sea. The massage on the beach is fantastically beautiful. the breakfast is ala card at the moment because there are few guests. But that's completely ok because you don't have to rely on buffet times and everyone only orders what they eat. we will return there again as it has become a home for us in Khaolak. everyone was so grateful that we were there as guests. it was a wonderful time here. 2 weeks unforgettable! Die Terrassenzimmer sind sehr gut in toller Lage und haben einen unbezahlbaren Meerblick. Die Massage am Strand ist traumhaft schön. Das Frühstück ist im Moment ala Karte, weil nur wenige Gäste da sind. Das ist aber völlig ok, da man sich nicht auf Buffetzeiten verlassen muss und jeder nur das bestellt, was er isst. Wir werden wieder dorthin zurückkehren, da es in Khaolak zu einem Zuhause für uns geworden ist. Alle waren so dankbar, dass wir als Gäste da waren. Great location on a lovely beach. Only 5 minutes into Khao Lak in a taxi (100bhts) or 150bhts for 4 people. Rooms were very spacious. The bed was very hard BUT ask reception and they will have a mattress topper put on straight away, this was much better. Bathrooms were a little dated but everything worked. Found it a little odd to have the wardrobes, kettle and fridge in the bathroom but they are in a cupboard so had no issues with it. The aircon kept the rooms super cool. Pools and bar were lovely, although it was a bit of a sunbed challenge to get a towel on while we were there. The massages in the hotel were super. All the staff were helpful, and seemed very happy We would most definitely go back there, a very relaxing, tranquil, peace of heaven

Amazing hideaway spent 5 nights here after travels g Thailand and it was wonderful from start to finish . Breakfast is beautiful anything you want they can do , right on the beach and so quiet and many guests on the 2nd , 3rd and more visits . Staff all great and always happy to chat no fitting for sun beds on the beach or round the pool . We used the spa service excellent Walking distance to khao lak and restaurants on route . Would highly recommend this place

I am very happy to have a good time in Senmar! 1, the breakfast is particularly rich and delicious, and the daily breakfast menu is varied, the dining environment is very good; 2, the hotel has a private beach; 3, the hotel is only 1 km from the national park, just walk in the morning when it is not hot Can reach the national park; 4, the hotel has a very fine swimming pool, as well as fitness equipment and billiards table and table tennis table; 5, the hotel's ecological environment is very good, the environment is very quiet, the feeling of being awakened by the sound of birds and birds every morning Comfortable; 6, the hotel's service staff will always take the initiative to greet the guests with a smile; 7; the hotel's beach loungers are numerous, very comfortable, can be moved at will, can be sun-dried while there is a shade to avoid the sun. Therefore, this hotel is very suitable for young couples and middle-aged couples.         However, I don't recommend taking a small child, this is not due to the hotel's shortcomings (I personally, this hotel is awesome) but because: 1, the hotel has a large reef on the private beach. And the beach is not small, and there are plenty of sun loungers on the private beach and there are not many children to play, so the children can't play on the beach; 2, the hotel's three swimming pools are directly below the three three-story small rooms, children Noisy in the pool will greatly affect the rest of the guests; 3, the hotel's ecological environment is very good, even a lizard nearly one meter long, although the lizard is slow and does not actively attack people, but if the child actively provokes, it will definitely Caused unnecessary trouble; 4, the hotel did not provide any children's rides.

We arrived at the HotSpring Beach Resort at the end of June '23, just a week after a new General Manager had started his new role - something we found out because he was actively meeting and greeting guests and will obviously be a great asset to the resort. He is overseeing a huge number of renovations and upgrades due for completion by the end of 2023 - and so any older reviews that speak of the resort needing some attention will now likely be redundant as the place is undergoing a major - and impressive - facelift. We were thrilled by our spacious room, the fantastic hot spring pools and the excellent contrast of the icy 'chill' pool (a rarity in Thailand, where refreshingly cold water to dip in is not so common). The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, and the grounds all the way to the beach are quite wonderful. Of course, in any transformation there is always something that still needs tweaking. Our two recommendations to the resort would be to enhance the taste and the number of vegetarian options of breakfast, which was generally a little on the bland side (though we ate two a la carte dinners at the resort restaurant which were outsanding and quite delicious). The other recommendation is to keep the beach free of the relentless flow of plastic and other garbage which the sea washes up. Although this is so common everywhere, and certainly not the fault of the resort, the beach gets a daily deposit of bottles and other plastics, and it would be great to see some efforts being made to collect and tidy the beach area as it's not huge, and this would certainly be an hour well-spent. Overall, highly recommended for a stay here - it's a unique place with such relaxing waters and the sense you're in the middle of a tropical forest with secret thermal springs just waiting to be discovered. If you're there in low season of June/Jule like us, then you won't see too many other people around and you can enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit!

Quiet location on Natai beach. Good size room, huge comfortable bed, new center ceiling aircon. I guess these pool access rooms are renovated recently. Staff is really nice and service minded. Breakfast was little disapointment. Sausages, becon etc. were all cold. Many food were finished and not filled in 30 minutes time. Hygiene low level. Many people took food by hands because no proper tools or containers. Would like to see rice soup in breakfast while in Thailand.

Stayed here from 4th - 11th April recently for a family wedding which took place just up the coast on Natai beach at a villa. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was in the surrounding area to the main hotel complex. My understanding is the hotel have acquired these villas which were part of another complex and recently joined them to the hotel. The outside area was beautiful with gorgeous flowers and plants and cute paths leading straight to the beach. The room was very spacious with great air con and facilities were good - although we did not have a balcony we had sun chairs brought to our room so we could sit outside. Room was cleaned well and fresh towels, tea, coffee and water etc every day. Only downside was the bed which was uncomfortably hard although enormous! Missing in the main room was a mirror but this was fixed when we asked for one - a full length mirror was brought to our room which was a necessity to enable me to style my hair. The hotel pool which backs onto the stunning beach was a gorgeous spot to sit with a lovely breeze from the sea and looked so pretty as sunset drew in with beautiful tree lights. There is one main restaurant where breakfast is served which backs right onto the beach. It was uncomfortably hot inside - could do with fans to make the dining experience more comfortable. As the surrounding area is extremely quiet you need to taxi out to local restaurants, the hotel restaurant menu was quite limited although most of the meals we ate both during lunch and dinner were lovely although a bit repetitive. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food and we enjoyed this very much. There are kayaks, surfboards you can hire from the beach hit by the beach and table tennis/boules also. Pool/beach towels are readily available from here too. In all, a lovely hotel in a stunning location on the most beautiful beach. A great get away from it all hotel for the perfect beach retreat holiday. Would definitely return to this hotel if I was in this area again.
