The Briza Beach Resort, Khao Lak Reviews

We stayed 5 nights here in July during the rainy season. Good: Big rooms, beautiful pool at the hotel wing, nice location, beach access. Service is friendly and accommodating. Fair: breakfast buffet spread is fairly wide, good for the price, they change one or two items everyday. Umbrellas provided because you need it to get between the buildings. Gym is small and equipment is old and some of it is broken, but there's enough space to do floor exercises. Poor: maintenance of some common areas and also the aircon. Inconsistent amenities in rooms We were booked into a deluxe pool view room (2nd floor) which had a moldy smell that we couldn't get rid of. After the 2nd day we asked for a different room and we were upgraded to a pool access room (1st floor), which didn't have a moldy smell. But the hot water didn't work in that room. Also, our original room had a smart Android TV with built-in Netflix and Youtube apps, but the upgraded room did not. Not a huge deal breaker for us as we travel with a HDMI cable but it just seemed strange. Also the pool access room was in the last block (rooms 512 to 524 I think), which abutt the back of the shophouses next to the resort so you can look down into their backyards and hear the people talking even with the door closed). The other buildings don't have this issue as they are not next to any other buildings (for now).

Nice stay. The staff are excellent and really go the extra mile. The breakfast and restaurant staff in particular are fabulous. Housekeeping staff are also lovely. The rooms are being upgraded now and there's a fair bit of renovation work, especially in the beach side of the resort. We stayed in the pool access wing and the pool itself was very big. The beach is stunning, even in low season with driving rain, wind and high waves. It must be incredible here in high season. Worth staying here for such a bargain price.

Nice location. Next to the beach. The room is quite dirty including the bed sheet.

The hotel is located next to the beach, you can walk there. The room is good, clean but old. When I stayed there, some areas of the hotel were being renovated, so there might be some noise sometimes. The hotel next door is the same. Breakfast is a buffet with a variety of food.

Very good, out of 10, not broken, went for the second time. Delicious breakfast All the employees are lovely. The room is very spacious and comfortable, the air conditioner is cool.

The hotel consists of two buildings. The one closer to the sea is older. The furniture is tired, the room is a bit dark. Across the road - newer. Rooms with access and views of the pool. Everything is fine! Very good breakfasts. The sea is nearby. Several swimming pools. One of the minuses is that very few rooms have stairs to the pool. We did not have. It is inconvenient to get out of the pool, you can slip. The pillows are very high and hard. I never found one that was comfortable for me, although there are four of them. There is very little gel and shampoo in the bath (one small bottle is poured upon request). There is no hair conditioner. One small soap.

Beautiful, clean

The overall environment and facilities are good. There are food markets and massage shops as soon as you go out. However, the bathroom in the room is a little blocked.

Conveniently located, first line, at the same time there are many cafes, massage parlours and other things around. The hotel itself is not bad, the rooms are comfortable for a family (a large bed and a bunk bed). Upon arrival, the air conditioner was malfunctioning, they repaired it during the daytime sleep, but from the outside. The hotel restaurant is very expensive, both in terms of food and drinks. But there are plenty of other places at the exit and on the beach. Cleaning, as usual in Thailand, is superficial; the terrace had to be constantly swept. The beach is comfortable, of course they take up sunbeds, but in moderation. The pools are good and you can catch a view of the sunset from them.

The hotel is very good. Clean, lovely staff Breakfast is not diverse.

The swimming pool is very big and beautiful. The breakfast is good and rich. There is a parking space, which is convenient for self-driving trips to the Similan Islands for diving. This hotel is really convenient. My sister will send a special car to pick you up in the morning and go to the pier to take a speedboat to the Similan Islands for diving.
