Best Hotels in Thai Mueang, Thailand

We arrived at the HotSpring Beach Resort at the end of June '23, just a week after a new General Manager had started his new role - something we found out because he was actively meeting and greeting guests and will obviously be a great asset to the resort. He is overseeing a huge number of renovations and upgrades due for completion by the end of 2023 - and so any older reviews that speak of the resort needing some attention will now likely be redundant as the place is undergoing a major - and impressive - facelift. We were thrilled by our spacious room, the fantastic hot spring pools and the excellent contrast of the icy 'chill' pool (a rarity in Thailand, where refreshingly cold water to dip in is not so common). The staff were friendly and courteous throughout, and the grounds all the way to the beach are quite wonderful. Of course, in any transformation there is always something that still needs tweaking. Our two recommendations to the resort would be to enhance the taste and the number of vegetarian options of breakfast, which was generally a little on the bland side (though we ate two a la carte dinners at the resort restaurant which were outsanding and quite delicious). The other recommendation is to keep the beach free of the relentless flow of plastic and other garbage which the sea washes up. Although this is so common everywhere, and certainly not the fault of the resort, the beach gets a daily deposit of bottles and other plastics, and it would be great to see some efforts being made to collect and tidy the beach area as it's not huge, and this would certainly be an hour well-spent. Overall, highly recommended for a stay here - it's a unique place with such relaxing waters and the sense you're in the middle of a tropical forest with secret thermal springs just waiting to be discovered. If you're there in low season of June/Jule like us, then you won't see too many other people around and you can enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely worth a visit!

The hotel is in a good spot next to the beach. The hotel is very beautiful and very large. There is a golf cart to drive you to the parking lot. The room you got was on the 1st floor of the building, a short walk from the beach. Breakfast has a variety of choices, good taste, quiet, but the door doesn't keep sound well, can hear people from outside the room. During the time I went, many parts were undergoing renovations. The golf driver was very helpful. When I opened the first room on the 4th floor, I found that the room was not yet ready, so I called to coordinate. After waiting a bit, I got a new room, very spacious. There is a balcony where you can sit and sip tea by the pond, but don't dare go out. There are a lot of insects. The bed was bad with a sinkhole in the middle. Not a good spring bed The bed wasn't completely covered with sheets. It looked like it was probably the same bed used in the student dormitory. The pillows are soft but not a bit thick, not squishy like other hotels of the same level. In the morning, before we had time to check out, the staff came to clean the room and said as if to hurry and check out. Mom and Dad said they would even walk into the room. Even though I was collecting things. I feel that since staying in many hotels of this level, This is the first and worst place I have ever stayed. Hopefully from now on the hotel will improve things.

And the beach is not small, and there are plenty of sun loungers on the private beach and there are not many children to play, so the children can't play on the beach; 2, the hotel's three swimming pools are directly below the three three-story small rooms, children Noisy in the pool will greatly affect the rest of the guests; 3, the hotel's ecological environment is very good, even a lizard nearly one meter long, although the lizard is slow and does not actively attack people, but if the child actively provokes, it will definitely Caused unnecessary trouble; 4, the hotel did not provide any children's rides.

The only strength of this hotel is the sea view that opens the door of the room and finds it, so I lie down and listen to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. there are many weaknesses,mainly the brightness in the room is very small,and there are many mosquitoes,and most importantly,there is only one place for the power socket.

It is only 15 minutes away from Similan Pier. If you have a trip to Similan, you can consider this room type. To be honest, hundreds of rooms are exactly the same as those of more than 1,000! ! The scenery outside the room is a bit different, but the difference is not big. . I have tried various room types in the past few days, and they are really the same. The public swimming pool and the beach are very beautiful. The breakfast is okay. The food in the hotel restaurant is too slow... Generally speaking, the price is very good. I will come again~

we have now been to the third sunset resort. a small pretty hotel with a great location, great staff and very attentive employees. The terrace rooms are very good in a great location and have a priceless view of the sea. The massage on the beach is fantastically beautiful. the breakfast is ala card at the moment because there are few guests. But that's completely ok because you don't have to rely on buffet times and everyone only orders what they eat. we will return there again as it has become a home for us in Khaolak. everyone was so grateful that we were there as guests. it was a wonderful time here. 2 weeks unforgettable! Greetings from room 1203 Ivonne and Ralf Wir waren jetzt im dritten Mal im Sunset Resort. ein kleines hübsches Hotel mit toller Lage, tollem Personal und sehr aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern. Die Terrassenzimmer sind sehr gut in toller Lage und haben einen unbezahlbaren Meerblick. Die Massage am Strand ist traumhaft schön. Das Frühstück ist im Moment ala Karte, weil nur wenige Gäste da sind. Das ist aber völlig ok, da man sich nicht auf Buffetzeiten verlassen muss und jeder nur das bestellt, was er isst. Wir werden wieder dorthin zurückkehren, da es in Khaolak zu einem Zuhause für uns geworden ist. Alle waren so dankbar, dass wir als Gäste da waren. Stayed here from 4th - 11th April recently for a family wedding which took place just up the coast on Natai beach at a villa. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was in the surrounding area to the main hotel complex. My understanding is the hotel have acquired these villas which were part of another complex and recently joined them to the hotel. The outside area was beautiful with gorgeous flowers and plants and cute paths leading straight to the beach. The room was very spacious with great air con and facilities were good - although we did not have a balcony we had sun chairs brought to our room so we could sit outside. Room was cleaned well and fresh towels, tea, coffee and water etc every day. Only downside was the bed which was uncomfortably hard although enormous! Missing in the main room was a mirror but this was fixed when we asked for one - a full length mirror was brought to our room which was a necessity to enable me to style my hair. The hotel pool which backs onto the stunning beach was a gorgeous spot to sit with a lovely breeze from the sea and looked so pretty as sunset drew in with beautiful tree lights. There is one main restaurant where breakfast is served which backs right onto the beach. It was uncomfortably hot inside - could do with fans to make the dining experience more comfortable. As the surrounding area is extremely quiet you need to taxi out to local restaurants, the hotel restaurant menu was quite limited although most of the meals we ate both during lunch and dinner were lovely although a bit repetitive. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food and we enjoyed this very much. There are kayaks, surfboards you can hire from the beach hit by the beach and table tennis/boules also. Pool/beach towels are readily available from here too. In all, a lovely hotel in a stunning location on the most beautiful beach. A great get away from it all hotel for the perfect beach retreat holiday. Would definitely return to this hotel if I was in this area again.

Это отвратительный отель. Он опасен для жизни. В основном бассейне выдернуты все провода со светом и электричество просто плавает в воде. Фотографии вообще не соответствуют действительности. Всё грязное, не убранное, не подготовленное для туристов. Пустые бутылки, банки, тарелки просто валяются по территории, персонал проходит мимо них. Наблюдали такую картину 2 суток. На пляже 2 лежака на огромное количество комнат. Завтрак бедный. Отель стоит не мало, удивительно что они позволяют себе такой обман. Все фотографии прикладываю.

POSITIVE - Cosy and modern rooms - Great location with direct beach access - Many swimming pools NEGATIVE - The restaurant was very average and the service there terrible (unavailable items that got charged on our bill; starters and main served at the same time; one person's main got served very late after our dessert order and then charged before we complained). We were expecting some decent restaurant for a 5 stars in Khao Lak but that was unfortunately not the case. - Front Office Team wasn't much synchronized. We had a continue booking that we mentioned upon check-in. Unfortunately, we got a morning call at 11:00 to empty the room even we had a prepaid additional night. Not very pleasant as we had to walk up the hill again to get new keys instead of having someone delivering them directly.

We booked this 5 star resort and had a 3 star experience.pros and cons. Pros The staff were lovely, Nam and Yada were very friendly and looked after us very well in the Beach Bar restaurant. The A la Carte menu was large and the food was excellent. Smoothies were lovely and the wine was reasonable. In hindsight though I wish we had booked half board or bed and breakfast. Plenty of staff on reception. Great aircon Cons: All inclusive didn’t mean everything was all inclusive. Room service, the Japanese restaurant (the nearest bar to beach) and the drinks sold on the hotel beach were not included. Kids in the gym!!!!! Health and safety issues re the pool Not enough sun beds and no amenities on the lovely beach Limited draw space in the room, poor lighting in bathroom Too many unruly kids in the evening in the restaurant and hotel management invisible. I am still waiting for Tui and Kalima to respond to my complaint ref no 12244212 Tips Just book bed and breakfast, use as a base. Walk 10 minutes to the left down to the beach and spend your money with Farmai and Lanna. Local people with hearts of gold! Only book a week and move to a different location for your second week.
