Philip Mary Farm Stay

Went to a cookery demonstration here as part of a tour of Kerala and then treated to dinner in their garden. Lovely welcoming family and excellent food, would highly recommend. The home stay accommodation also looked excellent.

We are a family of 4 and we stayed two nights at Philip Mary Farm Stay and Philip Joykutty and his wire had been great hosts to me and my family. So that we stayed one more night and would have liked to stay more. We will for sure comeback to stay more and explore the region. Philip and his wife had made us feel like home and had arranged excursions and tuktuk for us to have dinner and visit the area. Thank you for everything.

Visited as part of a tour and went to their beautiful home to have a home cooking demonstration followed by a meal. There is separate homestay accommodation situated in their grounds for visiting guests with a large seating available for communal meals with modern comfortable toilet and wash area facilities. The demonstration involved observing, with optional participation in, three dishes/sundries. This was then followed by a tasting of our efforts plus a feast of other flavourful dishes provided by their kitchen. The dishes were unlike those i had typically found elsewhere however are typically commonly prepared in Keralan homes. The hosts were attentive, generous and kind and I would highly recommend their hospitality and cuisine.

We visited here, whilst staying in the area with a larger tour group, for a cookery demonstration and home-style Keralan meal experience, and we had an excellent time. The whole experience was great - and the food was amazing! The family were very friendly and welcoming. Recommended

Enjoyed a cookery demonstration followed by a home cooked meal of wonderful food. Enjoyed the local recipes and the chance to 'have a go' at cooking ! Especially enjoyed the beetroot curry - have written the recipe down for future reference ! Highly recommended !

Our spice farm stay with Joykutty, his wife, and their wonderful assistant was a highlight of our trip to Kerala! The accommodations were perfect for our family. They were comfortable and well appointed. The environment around the stay is beautiful with spices, flowers, birds and fruit! The breakfast provided was so delicious and accommodated all tastes. Everything was homemade and local. Afternoon tea and local treats were a welcome surprise. We enjoyed a tour of the spice plantation, the Periyar Tiger Preserve is very near, and so is the cultural center. Excellent bird watching is right onsite. Bring your binoculars! A driver and vehicle were easy to access. It was a joy to visit with Joykutty and his wife and share stories and time together. This is your relaxing stay in the hills of Thekkady!

Had a really good experience here. They took care of us just like a family. We really enjoyed our time here. Surroundings and ambience was very nice and even the rooms were neat and clean. Breakfast was soo good especially aunty's kanjirappally style food. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.♡
