Cocoon Maldives - All Inclusive

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Cocoon Maldives. From the 1 minute on Cocoon Island we felt very comfortable. We were welcomed at the seaplane with drums and Adda. From now on he accompanied us to our room. He explained everything to us and provided us with up-to-date information and offers every day. The island is very clean and well maintained. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very modern and well equipped. The food is very varied, fresh and very tasty, there are different themes every day. It was often cloudy but still warm, sometimes it rained but that didn't bother us either. After a short time there was no sign of the rain anymore. The beach invited you to snorkel every day. The fish feeding is also worth a visit. The service is outstanding, we would especially like to thank Hasan from Restaurant Octopus again, you put a smile on our faces every day. You served us very well at every meal and were always attentive. you are doing a very good job. Likewise Adda, who answered every question, was available 24/7 and fulfilled our every wish. The room service is commendable: cleaning is done twice a day and towels are changed. The minibar is filled daily. The selection of drinks at the bars is also large. There are also special drinks every day. The drinks are brought to the table and the service is also very good here. The view of the sea is unique. The spa is also very good, I can only recommend it. From the moment we arrived. To the staff playing drums. To the friendly attitude of them all. This place does not disappoint. We stayed in both a beach room and over water rooms. Have to say beach was my favourite. You literally walk out your room to the beautiful clear water beach. Where you see sharks fish and stingray a plenty. Do not have a bad thing to say about this place. Was amazing

Amazing holiday at Cocoon island. We’ve been lucky enough to visit a few of the other islands and the all inclusive buffet restaurant is by far the best we’ve ever experienced. There are 5 or 6 separate cooking stations, each serving fresh main meals. The choice of options is phenomenal! We usually prefer al a carte menus so that we can eat together but the food stations were so well organised and efficient, we always ate at the same time for each course. We were planning on trying the 2 other al a carte restaurant’s but the buffet was so good we didn’t want to miss out!!! The a.i drinks package however was not great (for us) . There was a limited choice available but it was adequate. The rooms are beautiful and cleaned twice daily as well as a daily restock of soft drinks. The island is very small which was ideal for us as I have mobility issues but there were golf buggies available whenever needed. The staff are outstanding in their efficiency, friendliness and help and nothing was ever too much trouble. There are too many people to mention here but a big thank you to Pradeep for your sincere and genuine welcome (by name) each day and anticipating our every need in terms of refills and recommendations as to what we might like to drink. Also, thanks to Laal for your attentiveness and genuine care accompanying me back to my seat from the buffet when you saw I was struggling with the heat and recommending the food “specials” of the day. Thank you too, to Sakshi for greeting by name for each meal and taking us to our table and always making time to engage in a friendly chat and Roja for your beautiful smile and warm welcome. Overall, a absolutely perfect holiday destination but this isn’t a Honeymoon island, it is definitely a family orientated resort and is ideal for families with children of all age groups with entertainment such as a weekly children’s disco in the main bar. The island would therefore, benefit from an adults only bar especially in the evenings. We couldn’t fault the Hotel Group concept but we would opt for the adult only resorts for our next holiday.

Wow, wow, wow, what an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived at “Cocoon Maldives’ we were made to feel like royalty. This place is absolute paradise. We arrived to beautiful warm weather, Cocoon Maldives staff greeting us on the jetty with beautiful Maldivian Music, then a beautiful glass of cold Prosecco. Our host for our stay “Sohail” was extremely knowledgeable about the island, kindly showed us all around on a golf buggy, informing us of different areas food times etc. then took us to our beautiful lagoon villa, our luggage had already been,delivered. Our room was absolutely breathtaking, patio doors opening out over looking the Indian Ocean, paradise at its best. The rooms decorated to a high standard, also an amazing surprise having all your toiletries provided. Lovely white fluffy gowns, slippers and towels. Wonderful air conditioning, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities. Our housekeeper for our stay “Jewel” was an absolute Jewel, so kind, happy, chatty, funny and above all cleaned our room to a standard that i have never experienced. Nothing was to much trouble for him, he spoke so positively about how much he loves his job, and it showed with his work ethic and smile. The bar staff “ Pradeep (aka Prada) our nick name for him. Was great, very welcoming, after our afternoon snorkel, he used to see us walking to the bar, and our drink was there waiting, so attentive and happy and kind. The other bar staff, Nizam, Meesam, Tushar, to name but a few couldn’t be more accommodating, nothing was to much trouble, always working with a smile and so welcoming. Drinks and cocktails were lovely, a good variety too. Restaurant: We were welcomed most days by the beautiful Miryana her smile used to light up the restaurant, she was great, also extremely funny, kind and helpful too. The food in the restaurant was great, there wasn't a day that we couldn’t find something we liked. Such a great variety, all cooked fresh and to a high standard. Loved the themed night where the restaurant got decorated too, ie Moroccan night, Maldivian night etc. The staff went above and beyond to make your dining experience calm and relaxed. Vashani was our table host, who brings your drinks, keeps the table and area clean and works tirelessly to ensure you are never without a drink and comfortable at the table. also we had Hasan and Sakshi host us in the restaurant sometimes, who too were great. The resort itself, well there are not enough words to describe this beautiful paradise island. the beaches are amazing, clean, the sand so pure and white. The Indian Ocean water is like getting in a beautiful warm bath, crystal clear water, an array of black tipped sharks, eagle rays, sting rays, wrasses, turtles, parrot fish. We had a friendly turtle visit us numerous times whilst we were sitting on the deck of our lagoon villa. This actually brought a tear to my eye on how beautiful these creatures are. Everything was perfect from the moment we got off the seaplane. Our host Hassaan, welcomed us by our names and took us to our room after a cool glass of prosecco in reception. During the two weeks we were there Hassaan was the ideal host, making reservations for our meals in the Manta restaurant and Kurumbar beach bar. He also arranged an upgrade from our lagoon villa to a lagoon villa suite with no issues. The island is beautiful and at times we felt as if we were the only ones there. Food was delicious and great quality, with many themed nights, with many different cuisines and tastes catered for. We had the perfect two weeks and during that time we got to know the resorts crown jewels, the staff!! Everyone was so helpful and generous with their service but we would love to name a few of our personal favourites: Fernando in the Kurumbar is so friendly and gave us the best night at the Lobster beach BBQ, even catering for my shellfish allergy and giving the hubby and extra lobster tail! Charith, we met him in the main bar and then he covered Fernando in the Kurumbar. We immediately could tell that he is a true gentle and family man. He looked after us with kindness and fun.....we hope you get to see your lovely boys soon. Sakshi and Shaheen are the Octupus' dream team! Both are very hard working but so welcoming, always smiling and good for a laugh. Nothing was too much effort for these two stars and they made our holiday all the more special. They even arranged a lovely surprise for our last meal there. Thank you! We had a fab night at the Teppanyaki restaurant were the lovely and very talented chef Chiranthe showed us his skills and humour! Butter-Flies! LOL! A special shout out to the bar staff Victor, Polas, Wisnam ( sorry if I've spelled it wrong) and Issaad. After a couple of nights they knew exactly what drinks we were having ( dare I say we loved confusing them by changing our order every now and then LOL) and were always smiling and chatty. Hussein was our room attendant and what dedication! Coming twice a day to keep our room immaculate and happy to have a chat with us, even giving advice about snorkelling! Last but not least! Rasheed! What can I say about Rasheed! He is one of the hardest working people there ( and I have listed many above), if he's not waiting on tables in the Manta, he's helping out at both the bars and the Octopus. He's also busy whizzing around in his buggy delivering treats to the guests. Always good for a laugh and popping up unexpectedly, checking that everything is ok. It is worth a try. The resort and the island met our expectations except the weather. Because of the off season the weather was very rainy and windy but nevertheless it is very clean everywhere and the staff is very friendly. Especially Hassan from the octopus restaurant is a very nice person who really cares about your well-being. He’s good educated and does a really good job. The food is very tasty and also varied. All in one it was a nice holiday
