After a long and stunning drive through the Westfjords it's amazing tot discover a restaurant in this remote place. A small but delicious menu served by friendly staff with a good sence of humour.From the restaurant you overlook the daily catch of fish coming in, which creates a somewhat surrealistic environment. We would recommend this restaurant.

Hotel lugubre sans ame, chambre défraîchie jaunatre sans meme un tableau au mur (encore moins une tele). Accueil désagréable et le comble fut l’absence de diner dans un lieu ou il n’y a rien a 40km a la ronde. Le village est lui meme quasi fantome…

Cela ressemble plus à un hébergement de collège, avec son réfectoire et sa discipline qu'à un hôtel chaleureux. Il fait ce qu'il doit faire, passer la nuit. Rien de bien chaleureux. Néanmoins, rien de bien négatif

Petit hôtel familial sans prétention. Accueil efficace, chambres petites mais confortables et propres. Petit déjeuner buffet plutôt copieux. L'hôtel propose le dîner ce qui est un plus, car les restaurants sont plutôt à Isafjordur à 40km. Le village semble un peu abandonné...

Es handelt sich um ein recht einfaches Hotel, das die Grundbedürfnisse abdeckt, aber keinen Luxus bietet. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, man hat einen guten Ausblick auf den Hafen, aber viel mehr hat es nicht zu bieten. Guter Ausgangspunkt für weitere Erkundigungen in der Umgebung. Kein TV, kein Kaffee oder Tee im Zimmer, aber wir haben unten was geholt. Kleine Dusche und dünne Wände. Wenn man höhere Ansprüche hat, sollte man sich eine andere Unterkunft suchen. Gutes Frühstück, aber auch nicht sensationell.

Das Hotel Sandafell war das mit Abstand schlechteste Hotel, das wir in Island besucht haben: Das Zimmer klein und in der Dachschräge, statt Fenster nur eine Dachluke, Toilette im Korridor, und als Nachtessen eine Tiefkühlpizza aus dem Supermarkt ohne irgend etwas dazu. Um 15 Uhr wurde uns der Einlass trotz Kälte und Regen mürrisch verwehrt, man öffne erst um 17 Uhr.

Excellent hotel in this quaint, West Fjords village. We had a family room since it was the only one available - but worked out nice to give us some extra space. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring more of the West Fjords, particularly the Dynjandi waterfall. The breakfast was good and it was great to have a dinner buffet option that was also good. We would stay here again for sure.

Petite chambre, mals insonorisées, douche commune bouchée. Petit déjeuner àpd de 8h mais porte fermée avant, impossible de se servir même un café. Le personnel n'est pas très accueillant. Je pense que c'est le seul du village, à vérifier

Schöne große Zimmer. Kleines Bad aber gute Dusche und flauschige Handtücher. Gute Betten. Mehr oder weniger das einzige Hotel des Ortes in dem sonst nicht viel los ist. Nettes Personal. Tolles Frühstück mit phänomenalen selbst gebackenen Brötchen.
