Just arrived back home from a wonderful overnight stay and spa break I booked for my girlfriend’s birthday. Have had family members visit Lifehouse in the past and always came highly recommended, but first personal visit. Rooms were immaculate, as was the entire hotel and beautiful gardens. Very scenic location with great woodland walks and nature spots. Tranquil. Was very warm in the rooms, but had balcony access and did have a fan to keep cool. Staff were very polite and attentive and brilliant service had throughout, special mention to our server at dinner last night, Sophie, who was a delight - bubbly, professional, just a joy. Bar staff and serving staff all worked tirelessly. Food was incredible. Spa facilities were great, can be overcrowded towards the back end of the week I’d imagine as not overly massive amounts of loungers, but great range of steam rooms and hydrotherapy pools. Girlfriend’s massage was very well recommended. We didn’t drive so it was a bit of a trek from the station and along the path to the hotel itself, but then given the location, it makes for a beauty of a remote spot. Really couldn’t fault it in any way. Really relaxing time away. Suppose we spent £500 all in, with all drinks, foods, accommodation, services/access and treatments, but can see why Lifehouse pride themselves on their 4 star rating, and consistent awards across the board. Definitely a guest first approach done right. Would recommend and would likely return in the future. Adults only is a huge plus.
