Vienna International Hotel (Tianjin Drum Tower Flagship Hotel)

AVOID this hotel at all costs. During check-in, no information on breakfast was shared. Had to call to ask. Receptive staff were robotic and not service oriented. We strictly requested 3 non smoking rooms. During check-in, one room heavily reeked of smoke. We struggled through the night with the smell. Hotel staff told me the 3x floor we assigned to was non smoking. And said to on the air purifier to lessen the impact. We comb the room and couldn't even find any. Ash tray in the room table and hallway. What a way to smoke me. Requested for change in room and there was some hooha as they asked if we could change when we able to head out. Finally they said that they could offer us a free upgrade for the episode. What a JOKE. The upgraded room is similar to the previous room, except for a mini fridge which has nothing inside. What an upgrade and cute service recovery. There we found an air purifier, which were included yet was missing in our previous rooms. Horrendous staying experience. Total joke. Avoid at all costs unless you want to die early due to second hand smoke. Easily the worst hotel stays in my years of travel. Non existent service for such a hotel chain. Take your money and time go elsewhere that offer better travel experiences.
