We had an awesome three night stay. The room was very comfortable (except for the shower doors. I could barely squeeze through them to get into the shower.). The marina/restaurant was beautiful and the food was very good! We would certainly stay here again.

Rented a townhouse for a weekend with friends. What a beautiful location, and the townhouse was brilliant. Lots of space, 2 bedrooms with their own ensuites, and a lovely big kitchen, dining, living space. The balcony was great too and we enjoyed drinks outside (when the weather behaved!). We went to the spa which was brilliant. The pools are fun if a bit tired, the spa was lovely with a great sauna, steam and hydropool. We all had treatments, I had a fabulous full body massage and foot recovery, the therapist was lovely and really great at the treatments. Breakfast was good, the food is excellent quality, staff very lovely. Will definitely be going back!

We had a fantastic chilled weekend away for my partners 40th. The facilities ,food, surroundings, and staff where amazing especially Jennifer from the SPA her knowledge of products she used and her recommendtions we superb. She really made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Tomas from the Marine restaurant was one of the best waiters we have came across nothing was to much trouble always had a smile on his face. Thank you to both Jennifer and Tomas for making this a very special weekend for us.

Was looking forward to a few nights at Portavadie as had heard great reviews, sadly the reality did not meet our expectations. The room in the Lodge was okay but the hike to facilities - restaurant, spa, shop etc was more than expected. It's quite a sad looking resort. Lots of signs stating "under maintenance", toilets out of order and grounds needing tended to. Staff were friendly and keen to help but definitely a need for training. Headless chickens springs to mind. Food was hit and miss, breakfast was poor. Pricewise, not good value. Can't see me returning or recommending.

First time visitor to Portavadie which was a gift from the children. We stayed one night in a Superior room in the Lodge. The room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Check in was simple and quick. The weather was not the best but the scenery around the area is stunning and I can only imagine what it would be like on a good day. We had booked for dinner that evening and while there was a reasonable choice on the menu, it was somewhat limited. The food was nice but overpriced in my opinion. Breakfast was just ok and staff quite efficient and friendly. I also feel that the bar should be separate from the restaurant to allow guests to have a drink in a less formal setting. We never managed to use the spa facilities therefore we cannot comment on them, however they look amazing. I was shocked by some of the prices in the shop. I would certainly return in the future and make better use if the facilities available.

We stayed at Portavadie for 3 excellent nights. Immediately upon arrival the staff were friendly, professional and ver helpful. On looking at the view over the marina we upgraded our accommodation to take in the magnificent calming vista. There facilities and food are very good, all supported by a great team of staff who are only too willing to help. Beyond Portavadie, it is easy to take the ferry across to Tarbert and beyond for a day trip. I could not recommend Portavadie more and will return!

Disappointed with our 'luxury appartment', No.1, which was an adapted room for disabled guests( not requested or needed) and on the ground floor with only a view of the car park for the nearby ferry and alot of traffic noise - we expected to be on the first floor with view of the forest! Also no shelves or space in the bathroom to store things so we had to use a chair . The quality of the food in the restaurant was generally good although it was obvious the waiting staff had little or no training - dishes not cleared and other tables orders brought to our table. Also a little over priced.

Portavadie has a magical, calming feeling about it. Set in the most idyllic countryside of Argyle Scotland Every view is equally spectacular. The facilities are excellent, swimming in the infinity pool looking out at the view - wow! Bed and room very comfortable. Good sized accommodation. Restaurant serves good food and drinks and the service from all staff was top quality. I loved my stay there helped by the fabulous weather.

Brilliant. The team, the food, the superior lodge accommodation, the facilities. Nothing pretentious, nothing fake, great service, brilliant food. Portavadie doesn’t pretend to be boutique, it’s almost cafe like environment restaurant, location is amazing especially for the infinity pool. Loved our stay & will definitely be back. 🤙🏼
