The location can scarcely be beaten, and the sound of the howler monkeys at 4 in the morning quite remarkable. The staff were very attentive when it came to arranging a pick-up from Flores airport, and I spent a little extra for a half-day excursion to Uaxactun, which was a real highlight - in some ways even better than Tikal; i'd encourage anyone who has the time and resources to undertake this. The accommodation itself was adequate, but it was disappointing not to have any hot water throughout my three day stay. There are plenty of options for food in the restaurant, but service could be frustratingly slow when the place is busy (I ordered only a plate of fruit, and it took 45 minutes to arrive).
