My time at this homestay was an amazing addition to my time in Sumatra! The view from the deck was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was quiet, relaxed, and very comfortable. As a solo female traveller who wanted to disconnect for a few days, this homestay was amazing- I felt safe and very well taken care of. Aini is a wonderful host and someone I can now call a friend. Her English is perfect and she is a great chef! I won't stay anywhere else if I come back to this part of Sumatra! If you are looking for a clean, natural, authentic Sumatran experience, this homestay is for you!

We (6 of us) had a family reunion, meeting up for the first time in 3 years, stayed 2 weeks with the lovely Aini at Rumah Papa. A nice house in a good location, within walking distance of Bukit Lawang. Aini looked after us extremely well, we were very well fed (our thanks for Dia for that as well). We had a cooking lesson one day which we all enjoyed. Aini does eco-prints and invited a couple of us to join her in that - great results, all from plants growing around the village. Thank you Aini for helping make a special two weeks even more special.
