Maritime Cozy Suite @ Penang Georgetown

DO NOT BOOK!! You can find rentals at this same property on Airbnb at a similar price but at a much higher quality. This property is not allowed to be on Airbnb due to their extremely poor quality. My experience in a nutshell: 1. Left stranded and unable to check-in at 6pm on day of check-in because the property demanded multiple IDs and the deposit to be bank transferred which is impossible for foreigners without a Malaysian bank account. They did not try to resolve the issue, they simply just made the demand and ignored us, even though we were literally stranded on the roadside late in the day not able to check-in 2. The property is UNCLEAN and UNSUITABLE FOR HUMAN HABITATION (See pictures). - This place has thick layers of dust everywhere (Evidence that it has not had a deep clean in a while) - The beds smells bad and were torn in places - The carpets were stained, soiled and smells disgusting - Amenities such as the taps were loose and falling apart. - There was mould in the fridge This property was so bad that we checked out after just 1 night into a planned 2 night stay. In summary - The property left us stranded on the street after the agreed check-in time, provided an unsuitable product, and accommodated us for 1 out of 2 nights AND DESPITE THIS, the property and Trip.com refused to provide any refunds which I find extremely unreasonable. In summary - DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY unless you want to willingly ruin your trip to Penang island. And a message to Trip.com - TAKE THIS PROPERTY OFF YOUR PLATFORM.

Cleanliness very bad… when check in, call many time to property management no answer… almost half hours only have answer call, but still want to transfer our check in to another person, like a ball… No responsibility
