Triss Hotel

Very outdated and depressing place.

The hotel is ideally placed in an area with lots of bars and restaurants and is only a 10 minute walk away from the city centre (Skanderbeg Square). Although its close to the nightlife it is not noisy at all. Our room was clean and tidy and had all the essentials for a city break i.e. hair dryer, kettle with coffee and flavoured teas, extra pillows etc. We didn't use the room safe as it wasn't bolted to the wall in the wardrobe so it could just be picked and taken away! Breakfast is from a menu and on our last day we waited ages for someone to appear to take our order so that wasn't great. Overall though its a decent hotel which served a purpose and the staff were very pleasant but a definite feature is the location.

BEWARE: Misleading Photos, Filthy Conditions, and No Refunds – Stay Away from Triss Hotel I wish I didn’t have to write this review, but I feel obligated to warn others before they make the mistake of booking this hotel. My experience at Triss Hotel was beyond disappointing—it was outright unacceptable. From the moment we stepped into our room, we knew we couldn’t stay. The carpet was filthy and discolored, the bathroom had rust stains, and the towels were thin, yellowed, and clearly old. The entire room smelled overwhelmingly of mold and mustiness, making it unbearable to breathe comfortably. We didn’t even feel safe removing our shoes or coats. Within 10 minutes, we decided to leave and find another hotel. When we politely informed the reception staff of the horrendous conditions, they assured us that the manager was asleep but would call us to arrange a refund. Understanding that it was late (we had checked in close to midnight), we even offered to pay for the first night and only requested a refund for the remaining four nights. That call never came. The next day, after receiving no update, we called the hotel. While the reception staff initially seemed sympathetic, they soon backtracked under pressure from the manager and owner, refusing any refund. They falsely claimed that all their rooms were like this and that a contract with ******* prohibited refunds. This was a blatant lie—Expedia’s higher customer service team confirmed to us directly that no such contract existed. Attempting to resolve the issue, we asked if they would accept our bank dispute and allow us to pay for just the first night. They refused. Even my bank tried to mediate, but the hotel declined the dispute—twice. To make matters worse, the hotel’s online photos were completely misleading, nowhere close to reality. When I pointed out the stained and dirty carpet, the receptionist simply responded, “The color of the carpet is like that.” That response alone speaks volumes This hotel is a scam. The owner clearly doesn’t care about customer experience—only about taking your money. If you value your health, comfort, and vacation, STAY FAR AWAY from Triss Hotel. I will be posting pictures to warn others. No one deserves to go through this.

Thai hotel is fine for a base for a night or so as in a good location for nightlife. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a strange back street and difficult to find. The room is dark and the view was the back of a building and some old pipes. We also asked for a morning call which we didn't get luckily i set my phone too!

Excellent hotel in a great location in Triana near all major attractions and bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned daily. Didn't really know what to expect when booking hotel in triana but was very happy I booked the Triss

Very good location, on the center of Bllok main famous street in Tirana. Private parking, comfortable rooms, highly reccommend for families, friends or groups. Breakfast was impressive, fresh ingredients and mediterran cuisine!

I spent an amazing few days with my family at Triss Hotel in Tirana, Albania. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional, answering all our requests on the spot. The room was good size, clean and very well kept. The breakfast was served a la carte in the downstairs restaurant. The convenient location in one of the most lively neighborhoods from the capital and steps away from from Skanderbeg Sq. provided a great setting for our exploration of museums, restaurants and shops. Great spot for families!
