Vignesh Residency

This was our first trip to Trichy. The city is nice. The main attractions are the ancient temples. The hotel "Vignesh Residency" was well located near the Sri Ranganatha Temple. The rooms are good and well maintained. We stayed in the room from where you can view the main entrance of the temple. The staff was very courteous and very helpful in all ways. The food in the restaurant was delicious and authentic. We visited the Sri Ranganath Temple, Narshimha Temple, and other temples. If you are into ancient history then this is a must-visit place.

At the entrance of the Ranganathar Temple, restaurant at ground floor, car parking, security 24hrs, Breakfast included. Authentic local vegetarian food in the restaurant. No tissue papers kept, either for facial or toilet., otherwise good place to stay close to the temple. Being close to the temple, we went to the temple at 5am. Ranganathar Temple was too much crowded for the early morning visit, and we disliked the way the staff at the temple pushed not even allowing to see for 2 seconds , it was a disappointment. This hotel stay was a pleasant experience though .

This property is located very close to the Srirangam Ranganatha Swamy Temple's main gopuram, so it's just walkable distance to the temple. We booked an Executive Suite which has a spacious room with a master bed, two single beds, desk and sofa chairs which was comfortable for a family. Kettle and toiletries were provided. Bathroom was neat with hot/normal water supply. What would have been a welcome addition are Tissues boxes and dairy supplies. The Hotel is well maintained, staff's were courteous. The Hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor (Annalakshmi Veg Restaurant) which serves good vegetarian food for guests and public. The food at the restaurant (including complimentary breakfast) is good. It was mostly full as that was the only good veg restaurant in the vicinity. The Restaurant staff were courteous and well ***nered even when serving at peak time. The hotel also has car parking space for those who drive down (I did). Overall a good experience and glad to recommend this hotel to anyone who wish to visit Srirangam.

The stay at Vignesh Residency was a pleasant experience. The room was good. Stayed for two days. The bathroom was well maintained. The room boy Dhanasekharan was very pleasing and helpful. The restaurant on the ground floor has a variety of food. The complimentary breakfast is sumptuous, though the waiter rarely asks whether we need dosa or not. The lunch is sort of a da****er - the standard meals is not up to the mark. However, the dinner is superb. Evening tea is very late and with no snacks.

Stayed ***** with family and my mother-in-law, who was chair bound. The team at Vignesh Residency were very supportive. Mr Ramachandran went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable. As the rooms are limited, have to book well in advance.

We chose this hotel because of good reviews in TA plus it was very close to the Temple. Stay was excellent, rooms were clean and Service was great. Food was good in the restaurant attached to the hotel. ***y Thanks to Raja (PRO), F***k and Rajesh. Sri P

Excellent hotel in perfect area just walk away to temple, good food in Archana ( ground floor) The front office Mr. Rajesh great person. Stayed two days withoit any problems, cleanliness 100%, worth for money

Very nice hotel with neat room and good housekeeping. Very near the main temple. Just near the Outer Gopuram as you enter Srirangam from Amma ***dapam side. There is a restaurant below the hotel which serves nice and tasty food. The restaurant is independent and so you should settle the bill separately. However, the accommodation includes free breakfast which is served by the restaurant. Very ideal for temple visit and comfortable stay. They also arrange for darshan. There is ample car parking facility - 4 covered and 4 open. Reasonable tariff and we enjoyed the stay and would be visiting again in future.

Stayed at Vignesh Residency Srirangam (Trichy), for two nights from Sept 24th in a studio room. Booking was done from the hotel website and it worked fine. The overall experience from our first stay in the hotel was excellent, and that prompted us to return to this hotel again. The experience from this visit was totally not up to the mark. On arrival at the lobby, we weren’t greeted by front desk associates. They responded after I greeted them. Check-In process was smooth. On getting into the room, torn old bedsheets and stained pillow covers caught my attention, and this was totally unacceptable. I immediately brought this to the notice of the front desk staff. Mr. ***n agreed to come up and help in showing another room. That too had old worn out bed linen. On seeing me unhappy, ***n promised to change the linen and get room (#205) fit enough to stay. Mr. Raja (***ager) and ***n got the room ready in 30 mins. But for them, I wouldn’t have agreed to stay back in the hotel. I observed that on the whole, that the ***agement needs to step up the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel. The sheers were torn and hanging. This was the condition in room #201 too. The WC had stains and the inside of the seat covers had some dirt spots. Once we settled down, dialed the restaurant number and at 5 pm. , asked for 2 cups of coffee. The response I got was, that they have just closed down after lunch service and there would be a delay in serving coffee and it would take at least 15 to 20 mins, as the coffee is just being brewed and milk is being set to boil. I was disappointed as it was 5pm, perfectly the time they should be ready to serve coffee without any delay. I found the food served for dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was reasonably good. The breakfast items ( idly, vada, pongal, Kesari and dosa) for both the days were exactly the same. I requested for a dosa smaller in size to be served, but got the normal size. The idea behind requesting a dosa smaller in size, was to avoid wasting food. The servers were stiff; no greetings; no smile. Wi-Fi didn’t work well. Check-Out was handled well by Mr.***n. Thanks to Mr. Raja and Mr.***n for stepping out to make sure that the worn out linen in our room was replaced, thus helping us change our decision to stay on this visit. Based on this experience, I would request the ***agement to take stock of all that requires maintenance and initiate corrective measures. The reason being, that this hotel is strategically located and has a pocket friendly room tariff and all the potential to shine consistently. It would be great too, if the hotel ***agement, have their hotel and restaurant staff re-trained in customer service. Yes, the review is long, but it is my sincere intent, that this hotel bounces back with continued maintenance and good customer service.
