Stopped into the gift shop to look at potential souvenirs. Displays are tightly packed together, many with breakable items. Kids bumped a shelf and two shot glasses fell off. Things happen, I fully expected to pay for the damage. But what I didn’t expect was one of the employees to follow me around until I paid and then charge me a totally unreasonable amount for them. Clearly I was stuck so he took advantage. Not the kind of place I’d recommend anyone go to,much less anyone with kids who inevitably make mistakes.

Exceptional opportunity to learn recipes, tips, techniques, preparation and enjoyment of creative Mexican cuisine with European influences. Chef Dany is a. master chef who excels as an instructor. He is well prepared, organized, generous with his knowledge; his instructional manner is approachable, patient and easy to follow. His attention to detail is also commendable. The dishes we prepared were visually attractive and creatively plated. Who would have thought we had prepared such fine dining under his tutelage?

Had lunch at the hotel. Worst salsa I ever had tasted like they made it from tomato soup. Had tacos for lunch only marginal. The enchilada had the same awful red sauce the salsa was made of. They did have ice cold pop in cans. No air conditioning and it was hot. No fans either.

Visita obligada ahí vas a Baja California.

This is a letter I wrote after a very unpleasant experience at Hotel California. It was resent a second time with still no courtesy of a reply… In late June, my brother who lives in La Paz, took me to visit Todos Santos… and Hotel California. I am visiting from Florida. I treated my family to a lovely lunch there and then we visited the Gift Shop, where I purchased a T-shirt and a bottle of Reposado Tequila. After a bit of negotiations for the tequila. The price quoted being crazy expensive, the salesperson and the manager brought the price down to $3000 Mexican pesos… approximately $175 US Dollars. (They had actually told me it would be $150 dollars US). Bad enough to lose $25 but even worse… while driving back to La Paz, I looked up the tequila and found I could purchase it for around $57 US dollars online….. and then, to add insult to injury… I looked at the ACTUAL website for Hotel California/ Gift shop and saw it for sale for $56.99. I am so insulted and disappointed to have been so extremely overcharged like this after I supported the restaurant and the gift shop with my purchases. I cannot believe that you would be so dishonest and that you would treat customers this way. I am sincerely hoping that you will refund my credit card the difference ($175 - $60) of $115 US dollars immediately. I will wait to hear from you within the next two days. I know that there is little that I can do to retrieve my hard earned money… but the least I can do is to warn other people by posting my story online. Please do the right thing… I am attaching photo of actual cost and also the copy of my receipt… Thanking you for you kind assistance in correcting this mistake…

We arrived 5 minutes before 12 and the restaurant opened at 12. Through the gate, we said we needed to use the restroom, but the "Capitan" said that they weren't going to let us in until 12! I was so pissed, I almost walked away, but I really needed to go so we waited! Fortunately, the food was out of this world! Go there, but know that the manager is a real piece of work. Do they call that service?
